    Beautiful! Make sure you get it connected to a nice sounding reverb as well. I use a software reverb called Valhalla Shimmer ( valhalladsp.com/shop/reverb/valhalla-shimmer/ ) in most of my videos. If you want to use a hardware reverb the Ventris Dual Reverb is a good choice. A less pricey option would be the Zoom MS-70CDR. Have fun Andy!

  • @RemixSample

    Hey! To make pads I create short melodic loops often using Zebra 2, The Legend or Omnisphere Vst. Just a couple of chords and a bass note. I then import that into Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch and it turns into a pad that I can jam over with my M32.

    Like here it’s only one pad sound ? And all the variations are made with the knobs :)?

  • @RemixSample

    @RemixSample

    Yes I made a pad that I'm playing the M32 over. The M32 is only generating the melody. I'm using the interal sequencer of the Mother 32, turning the knobs to alter the sound and I also change the software effects I applied to the sound with my mouse just out of frame.

    Did you make the pads with the Moog Mother 32?

  • @RemixSample

    Hi! I made the pads using Omnisphere and stretched them out using the Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch software. In this video I only used Mother 32's and FX: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pp6rqtmPcrq9nc4.html

    Are the all sound just made of MOOG Mother? or there was computer softwares as well? The lead?

  • @RemixSample

    @RemixSample

    No the Moog Mother 32 is playing the arpeggio type pluck sound. The pad was made by turning a short piece of music I wrote with software synths (Omnisphere, Zebra 2) into a longer pad using Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch.

    RemixSample Id love to know what all of what you just said entails. For someone like me without any production background, would you expanding on how the Mother32 fits into the total picture of generating this ambient song? Where do the wires out of the Moog go, and what are those things doing?

  • @RemixSample

    @RemixSample

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@RyanPerrella This song consists of two elements. The ambient sounding background pad and the plucking arpeggio melody from Mother 32. The wire you see is a midi cable used to send note data from the computer but in this video I'm using the internal note sequencer of the M32 to play all the notes. On the back of the M32 there is an output for the audio signal that is going into my usb audio interface then into my DAW program where I apply reverb and delay effects to the sound of the M32.

    Pardon me for being dumb but are you doing all this on the fly and without a keyboard??? I think I know which synth to buy now. Pete

    The Mother 32 has a built in mini keyboard and a step sequencer that you can program melodies and what not into.

    @@RemixSample I am really impressed. That is clever as we cannot see it. So it is a complets standalone synth that I can get similar sounds on without having to use a bunch of peripherals.? The books say " get to know one synth inside out" and the Mother 32 fits the bill for me so far.

    I'm playing the Mother 32 over a backing track I made, just a synth pad with some effects. The Mother 32 is also connected to my PC so I can add effects like Valhalla Shimmer to make it sound like this.
