Ok... colour me very impressed! That ugly duckling is fantastic! I couldn't help laughing at the fact Nate said "Not a joy to fly" at the beginning of the previous video, but by half way through the flight he has changed his opinion to "Hey! This thing is really fun!". LMFAO! Now I want to get one... badly. Oh yeah, I completely agree with the whole AMA thing. Herd in Canada, we have MAAC, and when people approach our RC club, the first thing we tell them is. "Go to the maac site, and get signed up first." Its like car insurance... you might think nothing will happen because you are an awesome driver... but there us always that one day when you aren't at your peak... or maybe equipment failure... and then you're done for. Being sued for damages isn't fun.

Ya it’s actually really cool, I also seen the ad for it a year or more ago and he drove it up that little incline in the water and then when he put the phone in the slot and flew it through the buildings ! Needs some dayglo trim on the wing leading edges and vertical fin it just vanishes into the scrubbery low down,nice seaplane area but a boat standby may be prudent.

Yet another rendition of the brilliant Laddie Mikulasko "North Star" concept, though this one is smaller. Plans for the original 44-inch span wooden 1986 "North Star" and the 2004 "Arrow" are on Outerzone. This configuration looks very promising for FPV. The speed range is amazing. Other foamie versions include: 27.5" span Skynetic Dragonfly Seaplane V2, and the Hobby King Skipper.

Just like the Skipper from Hobby King. It does need some EXPO to really fly smoothly tho. They are great grass and water planes. I use a 1300 4s in my Skipper.

Nate Abby I just wanted to thank both of you so much for putting this video out for all to see.unfortunately that $100 plane is now $300 plus batteries, but it is definitely well worth The fun you get out of it. So I purchased the J -20 raptor & the Air, land and sea 440mm jet. Love you 4……….. please give peanut a kiss on the nose and baby a big hug from uncle Joey and aunt Lisa in Port St. Lucie Florida. This is my first time flying a plane. Omg 😳 wish me luck. 🤣 🎉

the slot in the top of the fuselage is suppose to hold your cell phone to shoot video while you fly..(i saw that on a instagram video) maybe you should try that on the lake with some rolls

I would absolutely get one of these over something like the H-King (I think they are discontinued anyway) just because it's EPP! I love tough EPP planes. This is on my wishlist for sure.

I just bought (and flew) the Twin Otter based off of your recommendations and I'm beginning to wonder if I made the wrong choice haha! BTW the Twin Otter on floats is so much fun.

You said you got this months ago... well, back in January this year, Alishanmao (youtube RC channel) flew one of these and was very impressed. His auto stabilisation worked "right outside of the box" as he is fond of saying, and I noticed in his quick unboxing that it came with a hot glue gun and two sticks of glue. So, now you've tried it and liked it, go watch his video! You'll love it, I promise you!

His must have been the RTF version, which does cost a bit more. Sounds like it could be worth it though if the stabilization works 😄👍⚓😎

Hi, it's mode2, but when you move the right stick down, does it dive or climb? I have the mini mustang p51d from them, as long as it's the same im getting the rtf version. The Rtf p51d dives when the right stick goes upward...

I’ve had this jet for a year now and I do the same and I disconnected my stabilization as well and I hooked up FPV also ,tell you what I enjoy every minute of it !PS of course I use crossfire when I’m over the water and it hasn’t failed me yet knock on wood .God bless take care stay safe.

I did buy the ready to fly version that’s why I had stabilized hooked up at first and yes I did tape off my holes so I didn’t intake any water In the fuselage

I had feeling that it would work off water lol. Still laughing!

You should try contacting the manufacturer or the company you got it from and see if they can give you a replacement stabilizer or a new plane

I was thinking of upgrading this plane with a faster motor, is there one you would recommend? Would it make sense to upgrade the ECU and go 4c is or that just a bad idea? Great videos thank you!

The RTF version has an FC that is pretty stable. No mode options. Which FC is in this one? I replaced the stock receiver with a FlySky unit after a TX failure and the way the stock FC wires into the receiver is a bit different. I can send you a picture if you wanted to do an update on the FC. It comes with a 1500mah battery but my 2200 works well if you shift the CG all the way back. That slot in the top is intended for sliding your phone into for recording. I can attest to the hot glue hold on this unit. Had to glue a fair bit after a high speed incident with a tree. I have been pretty impressed with these somewhat mutant units overall!

Omg it friggin worked! I thought the landing might not work and bury the nose. Well it's like one of those airhog planes that came out ten or more years ago.

I can't believe both Flights you didn't tie down the Battery. How did you expect it to fly good if the weight moves around? Put Battery forward more and make it a little nose heavy.

Nate also the rtf version is 199. That comes with there remote. That's probably the one reason why your safety stuff not working wit remote because they might have something different with there receiver and not working. So like u said try a your own receiver.. also there's search in bang goods has 3 different searchs for same style plane. Pnp or kit another one. 89.95 for kit... 149. Pnp .. and comes black or orange colors. Rtf version is 199. Comes in black or blue colors... and where u search on was for 109.. kit.. and pnp.. but just let u guys know to tell everyone that if they want to buy these planes on bang goods..

Told you in that last video that its far better than you think! Its a copy of Laddie Mikulasko's original 'Northstar' from the 70's/80's which has spawned many copies such as Steve Shumates Polaris, HK Mudskipper etc since. Glad you came round and it won you over in the end. Put a SAFE Rec on it and FPV gear and its an extremely versatile and huge fun waterway explorer plane for smooth lakes. Mine was £40 for the kit only version and I just used miniquad components to keep the weight minimal. Deserves its place in my hanger 100%.
