This WEIRD Bike will CHANGE the Motorcycle Market! Two Wheels are GOOD, but Three are BETTER!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today, as always, a very strange bike that may change the motorcycle market in the near future. Two wheels are good, but three are better! This motorcycle will really change the motorcycle market! According to the developers, two wheels mean super stability and many more positive aspects, which you can learn about in today's story. Have a great mood and enjoy watching!

I am a sucker for adventurous designs but I see no discernible advantage in this. At least none which will make the extra effort / cost / weight / complexity acceptable. Two wheels beside each other in front or on the rear at least enable the bike to stand upright alone in distribution roles or as compact cameraplatform during bicycle competitions. So for practical applications. By the way: Can anybody tell us how many Nikens have actually been sold?

Not many Nikens, but the Scooters like the Yamaha Tricity are quite a common sight here in Europe. Largely due to licensing laws.

@@marcbrasse747 At least in Germany you don't need a motorcycle license for them since the wheels are spaced far enough apart. This allows car drivers to ride > 50cc scooters without needing a motorcycle license. Does not apply for the Niken though (wheels not spaced far enough apart), which probably is for the best considering those are basically a real motorcycle, and a rather heavy one at that.

@@pistolingoo interesting. I’ve got the impression the also do very well in big south European cities. In Paris high spec scooters seem to be very popular anyway. In May I visited the Basque region of Spain and there could be no doubt that scooters rule in Bilbao.

Looks like a solution in search of a problem... you say increased traction from the extra wheel but I'd like to see figures of how much, as the smaller diameter wheels will each have smaller contact patches than one large wheel. One of the benefits of motorcycling should be simplicity of design and manufacture.

These have an (inline) double front wheel or rear wheel. If you would transfer that concent to the Qooder Quadro, you could make an 8 wheel motorcycle. 😮

Combined with a CVT this bike would make a very stable scooter configuration. 😊 ps keeping the small wheels would help to keep a low centre of mass .

two front wheels on a single track vehicle... so, you have two different steering geometries. each wheel wants to follow a different arc. which one is linked directly to the bars? does the other one float? or is it constrained by linkages, inducing scrub, slip, loss of traction, completely negating any benefits? how does it countersteer properly? i get the feeling that riding this would be a fight on every turn... on a car at least you can fiddle with akermans and live with a bit of scrub... but not on a "bike". side by side, as a tadpole, with leaning, narrow enough to lane filter, yet stable in the wet and capable of carrying 100kg of cargo.... THEN we can talk.

@@ducedevlstear2471 oh really? you dont say? it hasnt occurred to you that that is the WHOLE POINT? every wheel must follow a different arc. every wheel needs a certain combination of rake, trail, and head tube angle aka caster. every wheel will lean a different amount, and steering in a slightly different direction. how are the two wheels linked together? "it leans"... wow. do you want a reward for you top-notch observational skills? a trophy and medal? theres more to steering a bike than "iT LeaNs".

Always an interesting review, that's why we're sub'd!👍 But, in-line 3 wheeled concepts, hahaha...No!🥴 imho, it looks really ridiculous, plus it's so impractical to have 1 more wheel to worry about, all the time. The niken (i still can see an image of Ryan F9 mimicking pointing a gun mouthwards😂) gets even worse, more front suspension to maintain. it all comes down to personal preference though. As long as one is happy with one's choice, that's what counts the most. Hey, to each his own, right?😉 Anyways, Ride safe!🤙✌

Its not more than a single front wheel. Both setups would pitch the same amount of weight onto the front axle, and skid at the same rate of deceleration.

Nothing new under the sun… 1903 Slinger three-wheel motorcycle: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZYWutLiAhMi5p7w.html [EDIT] 3:36 The combined contact patch area and 'pressure' (normal force) of the two front wheels is the same as for a single tire/wheel setup. Will this misconception ever be retired? Sheesh… Two inline front wheels might resist handlebar 'jerk' and dynamic speed wobbles, but would the small diameter still have problems rolling over obstacles and through deep potholes?
