A good bit of information not mentioned here: With a Canadian win it would grant Canada their 14th gold medal in the last day of the Olympics, giving them the most total gold medals of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

It was the most golds for a country in any winter Olympics. It should have been 15 golds had the women's Curling team not totally chocked away their victory. They had several chances at an open take out in the last end and missed every time, handing the gold to Sweden.

No one talks about how smart that shot was. That wasn’t rushed or a panic shot that was genius. Not letting the momentum of the pass full stop and essentially sweeping it like a hard pass along the ice. Miller didn’t have time and who expects a sweep along the ice instead of a walk in deke or trying to go high blocker. such a smart play
