I believe the derp gun on the T49 and Sheridan could be buffed enough to be competitive without making them broken. In the case of the T49 simply giving the 90mm access to the same HESH round as the IeKpz M41 would give it a decent punch against lighter armored opponents. XM-81 Replace the default round with the HEAT shell, reduce the damage to 640 (from 700) In place if the HEAT shell add a prem HESH shell with 180-210 pen, reduce the damage to 760 (from 910) The default HE round can round out the optional 'default' shell option while retaining its higher 910 alpha. T49 (90mm T132E3) Replace HE round with HESH round. 102 pen, 320 damage. (152.4mm XM-81) Increase ammo capacity 22 -> 28 (+6) Increase Firerate 2.61 -> 3 (+0.39) Decrease Dispersion 0.57 -> 0.52 (-0.05) Increase Moving Dispersion 0.10 -> 0.15 (+0.05) Increase Hull Traverse Dispersion 0.10 -> 0.15 (+0.05) Turret Traverse Dispersion 0.35 -> 0.32 (-0.03) Sheridan (105mm Lightweight Gun) Increase AP pen 236 -> 242 (+6) Decrease Dispersion 0.4 -> 0.38 (-0.02) (152.4mm XM-81) Increase ammo capacity 28 -> 32 (+4) Increase Firerate 3 -> 3.2 (+0.2) Decrease Dispersion 0.51 -> 0.48 (-0.03) Decrease Moving Dispersion 0.12 -> 0.10 (-0.02) Decrease Hull Traverse Dispersion 0.12 -> 0.10 (-0.02) Decrease Turret Traverse Dispersion 0.35 -> 0.3 (-0.05) I believe this would make the derp gun viable without making it the go-to as the 90mm on the T49 and the 105mm on the Sheridan will almost always win out in consistency in terms of pure DPM. However this would make the derp a far more threatening option for dealing with out of place enemies, or lightly armored targets, particularly on the Sheridan since it would have improved gun handling over the T49.

I play on console but this actually seems viable as a solution to this tank. We have mostly the same stats for a lot of our tanks and the Sheridan is one of the tanks that is lacking compared to others for this reason. Hopefully we see a change like this in the future.

Sheri gets a bad rep because it gets out spotted by everything, even the wheelie cheater tanks. Sheridan has probably the best light tank gun in regards to dpm but it sacrifices a lot to get that bonus. Great Video!

Yeah, the platform is simply TOO bad for tier X... Imagine the T49 form factor at tier 10 with that Sheridan gun... I bet A LOT more people would play the tier X American light then...

Has anyone noticed that in the first three minutes of the battle, there were 15 tanks on one side and only 5 on the other? I thought the QB team had already won. 😁

Last I looked my Sheridan just wins for no reason. I can't explain it, it just gets wins unlike some of my other tier ten tanks.

I like the Cold War Sherridan, they fixed it by introducing the happy fun tube, bring laser-targeted joy to all leopard ammo racks.

back when i use to play WoT i made myself 3 mark the sheridian with the derp gun lol..bad times man bad times.

However many likes this gets is the amount of £ I spend on WOT tomorrow

i stopped playing the sheridan due to the fact that every time I used to hit the smallest bump, i'd overturn... it was so frustrating. (this was before the auto-flip mechanic)

The same happens to many tanks, for example, Strv 103B or RHM. EBR should do triple side flips at every turn but somehow it doesn't...

Befor Equipment 2.0 i absolutly loved the Sheridan since it was a light tank that could be played like a support medium with great DPM and gun handling. Back then light tanks where about the same in terms of spotting capabilities as mediums, so having a light tank wasn't realy that desireable in the first place. Having a light tank that could abuse a gap in the enemy lines and start dumping 3.5k damage into their rear was incredible however, and once you managed to take out the enemy light tank with your firepower you had more or less full controll of the map - which you could also abuse due to your DPM. Today however light tanks can be much more successful when embracing their scouting role due to Equipment 2.0 and Field mods (no need for optics anymore makes place for hyper scout builds with exhaust, CVS and vents) - which is something the Sheridan just can't do that well with its meh camo. With Commanders Vision Systems everywhere and actually sneaky light tanks running around the maps just got "too small" for this tank to actually shine, and as long as the enemy light tank isn't an idiot they will usually win a spotting duel. If all you want is a fast tank with DPM something like a Leopard or CS-63 are much more useful in that role, without blocking your teams slot for the scouting light tank they need (to fight the scout the enemy gets when you play a Sheridan).

I loved the Sheridan, the 152mm LT Killer. Now, is useless in comparation with the rest of the Light tanks. Now Heavy tanks have 250+ active armor all around, making this tank even more useless. 105mm gun 236mm penn, 280mm prem, tier 8 HT and MT have the same or more penn than that. How to "fix" this tank? why i should care, WG will not listen to anybody about how to improve the game, THEY DONT CARE.

The Sheridan isn't good, but I always like to take it out, yes, with the 105mm :D

Personally, the best plan for me in WoT is adapting. Like, I may have a good plan for going to a certain spot early. But if my team decided to all in rush the opposite line or someone else also has the exact same plan on occupying the exact same spot, then I will revise my plan.

I guarantee you that the Sheridan's winrate is being dragged way down by players who just goof around with the 152mm derp gun instead of trying to actually be competitive with the 105.

Instead of going with normal light, you should pick leopard and do so much more for thos playstyle

Sheridan is so much better than the Concept 5 it's not even funny and yet it's still one of the worst tier 10 tanks. What was WG thinking?

As QB already said, I guess most of Sheridan players out there use it with the derp gun. It's not bad, but people surely play it in a trollish yolo style for sure. And on tier X, it's just less effective. But even so, it's still fun when it works. That's why people still use it for fun and neglect the ordinary yet better gun

The plan my team has: ping this one idiot trying to scout or tank the enemy until he dies, then tell him "if you're a good player then why did you die?"

I find it hard to believe the sheridan is statistically worse than the WZ... but then again not many people play the wz lol.

Sheridan need to have that hull spaced armour fixed, if that spaced armour actually functioned to "eat" the "HEAT's" (and the HE) shells that a lot of people shot him with, that would make it wonderfull

You're playing it wrong. T49 and sheridan both are only allowed to play with derp. Thats the whole reason that line exists.
