I hate to say it but the western music industry is not the entire world. Dimash is a megastar in China, Russia and the CIS countries. China has a population of 1.4 billion compared to the US's 331 million. His album ID went triple platinum in under an hour. He's performed solo concerts all over the world. His concert in Almaty sold out to almost 35,000 people last September. He also isn't interested in wealth or huge fame, he lives for his music and only does what he wants when he wants to. He's currently working in the US but if people don't offer him contracts that give him total freedom he won't be signing them. He doesn't need the west but the west need him.

Dimash concerts are over three hours long. I’ve been to three in different countries. He sings different genres from opera and even some rap, he chats and interacts with the audience, gets us all to sing along, he plays some instruments, dances and just gives us his all. I am 78 year old U.K. lady. Can’t wait to see him live again but in the meantime, I can see some of his concerts which are on you tube. We are so lucky,

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; he speaks kasakh, russian and english and is learning mandarin chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He is currently in the United States, working on his new material that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are looking forward to. He is a kind, well-mannered and compassionate person who leaves his culture and his country in high regard wherever he goes.

Dimash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. This is original, as well as Ave Maria was an original composition by Igor Krutoy for Dimash.

Stranger is not a cover. Composed specifically for him. Dimash was a judge at this competition. Dimash is extremely well known around the world. He does not need Las Vegas or any US marketing folks getting their claws into him. You cannot put him in a box. He is a free spirit. Just let him be and he will entertain us for many years to come.

How many people know of Dimash? This might help: In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. His concert in Almaty sold out in 10 minutes on LiveNation! Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states and 2 US territories. At age five Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year.

Dimash had been a contestant at "New Wave" and won, had come back as a guest, and in 2021 he was asked to be a judge. He premiered 3 songs during that time, "Stranger", "Ave Maria" and "Fly Away". This one was written for Dimash. The man on the piano is Igor Krutoy, a Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash. If you see him on stage, he composed it. Dimash goes into professional mode while on stage. During his solo concerts, he is more relaxed, professional but also intimate. That breath control is from swimming. He makes sure there's a pool in every hotel he stays in. Right now he's in L.A. working on an OST I believe. No swimming pics but he's posted some tennis. 😆

I don't think he was in competition in New Wave, he was invited as guest by Mr. Krutoy in 2018, when he performed "Sinful passion" and "Adagio" for the first time. He was in competition in Slavic Bazaar festival in 2015 and won it and invited, every year after as guest performer and also judge (2022)

Early videos of Dimash are more pop n power.. From GoGo Power rangers to Micheal Jackson crouch grab n white socks.. As the wild card on the Singer show 2017 Dimash became a overnight sensation.. 4 months of filming performing 14 songs.. Those ALL performances videos gave me the chills for 30 minutes with no adverts.. Being Dimash he used his gift to perform deeply emotional covers in multiple languages when he only spoke 2.. Researching the original artist to each track was fun but listening to interviews with his family put a seed of love in my heart.. Seeing Svetlana during Dimash’s 2018 London concert made the concert the best I will ever experience. He went on to perform Sinful Passion with the original band A Studio.. He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. He performed this song on the same show as Ave Maria, just not on the same day. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. Dimash doesn't do competition anymore, he was one of the judges for this competition, he has his band there to perform as well as a judge, I've seen Dimash twice,first concert was I New York 2019 That concert was just the start of his very 1st world tour, the concert was December 10th then , one week later, the world learns about a deadly virus that is spreading rapidly... people are dying by the thousands... Shortly after as we all know the worlds on lockdown .....I was so grateful that I went to see him in New York before Covid hit because I sware that's what kept me from losing it being Trapped in my house for almost 2 years, No joke, almost 2 full years!!! Anyway......... Dimash didn't allow the lockdown to totally stop all live shows and even though he wouldn't be traveling the world, he did something just as awsome ,he put together a digital live stream concert for all who wanted to see him... Dimashs last competition was ,I believe in 2018, The Worlds best in America, Of course he was going to win but towards the end when there were only three people left .... Dimash decided to leave his position because he doesn't believe in competing with children, they were very disrespectful to Dimash talking down to him, Dimash was the constant gentle man, humbly explaining his position..... Before they called upon Dimash to be in the competition he told them he doesn't compete with children, the worlds best told Dimash he wouldn't be competing with kids , Dimash is just a really decent and honorable human being , He then walked away from 1million dollar prize ...... Dimash has since continued with his world tour... My second Dimash concert was in 2022, the Story of one sky Almaty concert I have seen really famous great bands throughout my life, I promise you , if you haven't seen Dimash live, you are really missing the experience of a lifetime, you haven't seen anything until you see Dimash OMG!!!! Hi Joe, Awesome reaction to this masterpiece from Dimash. Of course he sings covers but I was puzzled as to why after watching 'Ave Maria' you would think that was a cover so 'Stranger' must be too!! 'Ave Maria' was composed especially for Dimash by Igor Krutoy who played the piano for him as was 'Stranger' both to be premiered at New wave 21, its a week long competition for new young talent, Dimash was one of the judges each night but he performed on 3or4 evenings as well.👍😊

Though here Dimash is about 28 yrs old. At 2 yrs old he was on stage. At he was in music academy at the university, performing singing on stage and won his first piano contest. From a child Dimash was in competitions and in school. He’s from Khazakastan but through the years in his country, China Russia, and many of the Slavic block countries Dimash has performed and competed. After he wins they call him back the next years for solos and then to judge competitions as at this one and he sings at least 3 songs with Igor and on his own. Dimash young in his career paid his dues and that you as a videographer should know took and made the opportunities. He sang at the ms. Universe contest, at the European Olympics, at Jackie Chans Chinese film festival and at many Chinese high ranking functions, sang at many cultural events in Khazakastan since a child, has made many of his own music videos in a variety of languages, has made a music video soundtrack for the movies: Creators: The Past and the theme song movie music video for the teen movie a few years old Go Go Power Rangers by the same name. Though he’s all the way across the world Dimash has done almost everything in his career, he sang, produced, directed and starred in his own 13 minute movie music video doing all the vocal parts and main acting role, we think he is now in LA under scholarship at a film school from New York City in LA, California still touring around the world. America who Dimash does not need has fan clubs with his “Dears” in over 140 countries has not treated Dimash well at times. Dimash also recently sang his national anthem in Vegas between a boxer from his country and one from Mexico. Dimash shows up in odd places and from all of this does not say. No.he is a high fashion model appearing in Vogue and Mens Health. Speaks 4 languages and singing in 15 languages picking up a new one or so when he tours to a new country and singing at the concert in their local language. He sang twice at the Tokyo jazz festival the last time singing in perfect Japanese. You’ll notice as a videographer dimashs performance arts at his performances…. If Igor is there he’s probably done it or they cooperated together. The kobetz at the beginning here was put in by Dimash the player being his countryman. The sos version that Dimash did at his digital concert show on January 16, 2021 Dimash hired 400 people and put that concert on himself during Covid for $10 a person.

Most of Dimash's songs are originals, relatively few are covers. He routinely performs 3-4 hour concerts and has already done so in cities like New York, London, and Moscow, and in countries like China, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Belarus, Latvia, Malaysia and Dubai---as well as many in his own country of Kazakhstan. He routinely draws fans from 60-70 countries to each of concerts. It is only in the West that Dimash is not widely known, but that will be changing soon since he is currently in Los Angeles meeting with some of America's most successful producers.

Notice when he dropped to his knees he went straight tone so the vibrato wouldn't waver. Nearly impossible to move without altering a long note or sustained vibrato- especially in mixed voice. Oh, but wait- this is DIMASH- he could be cliff diving in Acapulco & have no problem. Yeh. Not fair😔

I am here because of numerous artists I was exposed to, by starting my reaction video watching journey. From the likes of Dimash, to Nightwish, to Falling in Reverse. It is through all of your eyes that I get to see these artists for the first time.

Russians and Belarusians don't get up to applaud, it's not in their culture. But Dimash is well known and appreciated there, that's why there are so many people. Just that they don't stand up like we would, but they're big Dimash fans

Thank you. This is an original composition by Igor Krutoy (on piano) written for Dimash. The 2 stringed instrument is the ancient Kobyz. This is epic. Dimash is the best singer/vocalist on the planet. Dimash has worked every single day of his life on his singing. He trains no less than 3 hours every single day. He has multiple vocal coaches that he works with. He has been performing and training since he was 3yrs old.

Dimash has covered lots of songs, but, when he does he makes them his own. This song was written for Dimash by the pianist, and composer, Igor Krutoy. He and Lara Fabian wrote "Your Love" for Dimash. Igor Krutoy was a retired billionaire composer, who came out of retirement to compose music for Dimash after hearing Dimash sing "Sinful Passion". Dimash composed his own song "War and Peace" and created an outstanding and poignant video called "One Sky." A lot of the songs Dimash has covered are because of the respect and admiration he has for the original singers. Ave Maria was original. Composed by Igor Krutoy, sung by Dimash for the first time. Igor was on the piano. Ave Maria is an idea, not a particular song. There are some other songs by different composers with the same title. Stranger was also composed by Krutoy for Dimash. No-one else could sing it, I believe.

As for your assertion that Dimash's "Ave Maria" is a cover, it is not, it is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria" opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got his inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals.
