This Village Looks Like The Amalfi Coast of Italy... BUT It's In Costa Rica 🇮🇹 🇨🇷
Las Catalinas is a newly constructed beach town nestled along the golden coast of Guanacaste in Costa Rica. It wants to create a vibrant community focused on a balanced lifestyle of health, sustainability, fun, and fulfillment.
Las Catalinas consists of homes, shops, restaurants, small hotels and inns, plazas, parks, and recreational facilities. We have arranged these elements to create a series of wonderful, walkable public spaces interwoven with our breathtaking natural surroundings. Architecture is adapted for outdoor living. Motorized vehicles are refreshingly absent.
One side of the town is embraced by over 1,000 acres of tropical dry forest, with spectacular hills and valleys that afford extensive hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. On the other, you'll find two of Costa Rica's finest beaches offering great swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, boogie-boarding, and snorkeling.
Las Catalinas believes it's one of the most important and beautiful new towns in the world. You can enjoy the walkable tropical village for yourself.
“Residents and visitors live a stone’s throw from ocean-view restaurants, an outdoor adventure outfitter, an upscale grocery with a wine cellar, a day spa, and clothing and furniture shops.” - The New York Times

Where are all the people? Is this a ghost town?
