Oct 2023 is not the first time Israelis killed thousands of Palestinians. I remember in 2014 and other years later when Israel bombed buildings and killed thousands , similar to now but the numbers didn't get this high since there was no "holocaust like event" that they could use to kill this many ppl. So, Zara could still have based it on this conflict, just the previous part of it in 2014, 2020, etc. Israel "mows the grass" (kills Palestinians) every few years, as the images would have been similar and could have acted as inspiration for this ad. I wasn't convinced Zara did this ad to mock Palestinians; I thought perhaps they wanted to draw attention to their plight w/o being called antisemitic by Israel, but after seeing all the other things in previous years they mentioned, I no longer think it was benign.
