I saw a video about Michael Jackson's medical history regarding his surgery. Like many, I just assumed he did it to "look white." Turns out it was for legitimate medical reasons, and his plastic surgeon just really, really sucked. He had a nasal cavity deformity, so he got the initial surgery done because he was having an increasingly hard time hitting the high notes (which for someone who's entire career is based on singing, the surgery was important) However, the cartilage kept collapsing and they had to keep rebuilding it. That required getting more cartilage, so they started taking more and more from his nose to rebuild the nasal cavity. After they had removed as much as they could, they started taking cartilage from his chin. That's in addition to him having vitiligo. After years of using makeup (in his earlier years you can often see it coming off on his clothes), it was decided that it was easier to just bleach the melanin in the darker skin to match the blotches of lighter skin. This isn't an uncommon procedure for people with vitiligo, and it's the only reliable way to get the skin tones to match. Trying to darken skin to match darker tones is much, much more difficult (almost impossible.)

It's because the ethanol has evaporated Alcohol in dish isn't alchololated (?) hence it's not unhealthy, given that you heat it long enough

Safe and enjoyable life are two different things (many things aren't considered safe, but they ought to be done anyway). One could say even safe isn't really safe because boredom eats you away anyway. Yes, the alcohol evaporates if it's cooked long enough, but I don't know how long these foods are cooked. There might be ethanol left. Idk, but surely not much xD

@@Areaninetyone "will kill" is a very loose definition in this context. It's not really killing, more like wearing down. (Of course abuse will actually more like kill you, but we weren't talking about abuse.) And we all get worn down in the end. I'm not saying we should just do whatever we want without consideration. But living a life needs balancing out... And our bodies health isn't the most important thing we look after. We watch over ours souls wellbeing and those around us. Wine helps us with the stress, (well also getting fat from our veins but that's an extra benefit maybe?). Less stress helps the body too, really. Our most and highest responsibility is to be kind to each other, and getting over our "lock moments" is a part of that. I consider it to be food and medicine, taken with thought and the need in question in mind. Also these are, after all, shortlived worries, not a focus in life, and definitely shouldn't be a source of stress. Worry less the length of your life, be more concerned with what you are doing with it.

@@Areaninetyone My earlier comment had the angle that there are many things that aren't safe, but are good for us. Just like when you got your knees scraped by going outside (maybe as a child, maybe as an adult?), life well lived will leave unharmful marks. Both visible and invisible. Life feeling like life, and enjoying it, and being able to be grateful of it, all these little things.... It's very important. Plate of good food, glass of good vine, an episode or two of your favourite tv show... Whatever it is, you need to feel content of being right where you are. But that is not to be forced, only happens, if it's real.

0:56 - actually that is not correct - BIC changed the design in 1991 to include a hole in the lid to reduce the risk of choking. The pen top in 1955 had a closed top that tapered to a point. After 1991 it had the flat top as shown across all the pictures.

(Not so) Fun fact: Michael jackson mainly wanted nose surgery because his nose remembered him of his father who abused him for years. But after the surgeries he was still unhappy and became depressed because everyone was calling him a monster. He later died due to an overdose of sleep medicaments since he couldnt sleep because of all the allegations people made up
