This US Drone Will Change EVERYTHING - Here is Why!

The General Atomics Mojave drone will change everything. With the ability to reach out and touch the enemy from half a world away, the Mojave is the perfect weapon for conducting recon missions or armed assassinations. This video will analyze the drone's capabilities and limitations, along with some advantages it has over the Reaper drone and how it works in the field. It will also discuss the recent upgrade that allows the drone to carry two Mini-gun pods under each wing using two of its seven hard points.

Personally, I think drones SHOULD have one or two missiles that can be fired backwards, in the event that they’re being chased by an enemy aircraft…. because that enemy aircraft has no flares at the front.

In order to fire a missile backwards the target must first be detected, then the drone has to lock-on the the target and then the missile has to acquire the target. This is difficult to do with a pusher propellor at the rear of the drone. This would require some sort of detection/tracking pod amounted under the wing, in addition to the missile to be fired backwards.

It clearly isn't stealthy, particularly given its external ordnance. Drones likes this aren't particularly helpful in contested airspace, but this would have been perfect for lots of CAS in Afghanistan with a long loiter time and an effective weapons mix for "low risk" (to aircraft) targets - all without the cost (and risk) of a operating a more expensive, capable, manned aircraft.

It should be tested with AIM120, AGM88 HARM, AIM260 missiles as well as all the SEAD and DEAD pods that the latest F-16s carry so that it can function fully in a contested air space. Old aircraft are often converted and used as targets, eg; QF4 which was the R/C version of the F4 Phantom. I was involved in the trails of the Skyflash missile (a UK upgrade to the Sparrow AIM7E). The missile does not have a warhead, but carries additional equipment in order to calculate the miss distance from the target. Unfortunately during the trials our missile was more of a hitile and we took out 4 QF4's. The USN were not pleased. Especially when we painted 4 kills on the side of our UK F4 that had fired the missile.

For the $32 million cost of a single Mojave you can equip a swarm of relatively cheap single-purpose drones that together not only have a better chance to succeed in their mission but can survive it as well. Probably useful in asymmetric and air dominance scenario's only.

Pilots are the the detest as causation and profit and distractions upon themselves by themselves to sell a newer more isolated and private consortium driven agenda would lose the theater space and out of theater consiquences is their goal also, to sell police state and more weapons making and more wars against no guilty people.

Modern war in Ukraine shows that such "attacked" drones don't last long on the current battlefield. Ukraine lost their similar drones Bayraktar TB2 pretty fast. This could be the case somewhere in Afghanistan but the upcoming wars will be with Russia & China

The number one problem with these crafts are the cost. Most countries can't afford these things. Defense contractor love to show these things off at prices that will place most counties in bankrupt. So again what this these thing good for!! You can get these little drones from China at less than $500.00 and do the same. I know you are going to say the range is difference and it is and the number of bombs is so much more. Ukraine makes their own shape charges and attach them to the cheap drone and do these the same as the big expensive drones.
