I recently got Take Off luggage, which fits both Spirit and Frontier when you take the wheels off - ingenious design!

How has it held up? I just bought it as well. Won't get to use it until next month though

It's now $65 each way to take a carry-on... So I'm really hoping to make the personal bag work

That’s terrible. If I ever take Spirit again, I would use it for one day trips with the understanding everything must fit in that bag because once you start incorporating $120+ in baggage, they’re actually not all that cost efficient.

@pkswty Same! It’s ridiculous. Some of these bag fees are so high, you could have just picked a premier airline.

Good luck! Spirit isn’t my first option, but it’s always an option! Try not to overstuff the bag or it won’t fit, otherwise you’re good to go!

You have to try the Underseat Pro I have used it on Frontier and it was great!

$30? You must have mistaken this with American Airlines checked bag fee. Spirit starts around $58 just to carry a bag on the plane that doesn’t fit the top slot. And if you have a bag that doesn’t fit in the slot, paying at the gate is $99.

I think it depends when you get it. During booking, added on via their email marketing, and at the gate all seem to have different prices. Which is absolutely ridiculous since it’s the same bag on the same plane. SMH

@@theetravelingwriter during booking it’s around $58. If you come back later and a few days before your flight, it’s higher. I’ve seen from $68-$72. At the gate it’s $99. Over the past two years I have flown spirit over 25 times. I’ve only checked a bag twice. Paid for carry on about the same. All other times it’s been free, because of how I pack. 😊💵

The company TakeOffakes a bag with removable wheels that's hardwired and works as a personal item on Frontier and Spirit (as long as you Do Not buy the expandable version).

Yo viaje este fin de semana y la mochila era de esa medidas y cupo muy bien. Solo no la exploten con demasiada ropa. Si aún deben pagar, usen la aplicación de la aerolínea esas económico. Igual imprimir el sello de la maleta, hágalo en las máquinas de check in con el código de confirmación. Le cobran $25 por imprimirlo en la mesa de servicio. Nunca volveré a viajar por ninguna de estas aerolíneas.

@@theetravelingwriter I booked Spirit for the first time a week ago and paid $60 for round trip for a checked in bag. So it's still $30 if you buy with your ticket.

Sorry, but I used a bag with those measurements and fit the boxes in both Spirit and Frontier. 18x14x10 foto the boxes, just don't put extra things on the bag.

With Frontier it’s $99 for a carryon

It says it should, but I am a little skeptical because on some of the models Delta's underseat is a little smaller. Delta flies different models of planes so it depends.

The handles and wheels are huge you can barely fit anything in the bag. Pass.
