This Tornado Destroyed A Town In Front Of Me

Ғылым және технология

In this video, my dad and I come face to face with a devastating tornado as it carved a path of destruction through the town of Perryton, Texas, helping to provide potentially life-saving severe weather coverage with @RyanHallYall as the tornado impacted the town.

Thanks for the footage, it’s been over half a year and I thought I wouldn’t cry seeing this but here eye am crying seeing where the tornado passes by and hits my home and parents home, the home of friends and neighbors.. Nature truly humbles me. I want to call this tornado a monster, but it’s such a beautiful sight and yet deadly as well.. cleaning Earth’s surface, polishing it just what nature does. All we can do is our best and hope not to be taken by it. Sirens were not heard. People still till today didn’t get enough help. My hometown will never be the same. What we do know is how big of a heart this town and its surroundings got.. all the help from strangers we got. I’m still crying as I type this. I don’t know them strangers but I will forever be grateful for them who came for weeks just to help the needed. I love you all for that. 💙

omg, it hit your house? a debris field was visible from my backyard last year during a tornado which ripped through our community, I saw things in the air that should never be in the air. The things I found in my yard in the aftermath, were insulation, light fixtures (indoor and outdoor), wood splinters, outdoor furniture pieces, and other clues that homes were ripped apart. I hope you have fully recovered from the destruction my friend!!!

I was watching Ryan's feed when this happened. My family, some of my cousins from my dad's side lived in Perryton. My granny's buried there. I was in tears watching this happen. It hit downtown and did some serious damage. I remember hanging out there as a kid in the 60s and 70s and it was hard to watch it happen from 800 miles away. You did a great job watching it, thanks for posting this one.

Awesome video. Coincidentally, Google Maps street view happened to be updated in June 2023 to show much of the tornado damage not long after it occurred in Perryton TX. The part of the street view I checked coincides with the map in this video at 6:12 moving forward, which happened to be where many trailer homes were. I grew up hearing that trailer homes are not as safe as others in tornadoes.

Super spooky to know exactly where you were at times... You drove right by my house. Thankfully I was one of the lucky ones that had minimal damage. However when I pulled up to our fire station my heart sunk seeing that it had taken a direct hit. We were still able to fire up all of our trucks, kick out the windshields, and drive out of the rubble of what was left of our station to get out and help who we could.

@@FreddyMcKinneyThe fact that you got such detail in the video. A camera just can't capture clouds the way human eye see it. I tried capturing a unique sunset and it look bland on video but to the eye amazing. So I know it must have been breath taking to see that twister live.

To follow a tornado wouldn't be much safe, or satisfying. To view a tornado destroy a town, a big neighborhood. This looks awesome, by the way

Compared to Mark Peyton Vlogs storm chasing, this is waaaaay better, because those guys on that channel are just screaming it out and not even communicating. Love the video, love the action, keep up the good work! Subscribed because of that

heres a little tip if you can see individual pieces of debris and the bottom of the tornado you are too close for comfort thankfully no debris fell near them cause that stuff is moving way faster than you think
