I don’t know that I need the whole kit, mostly deal with Weatherpack and Deutsch connectors, but that seam ripper looks useful. I’d like to have something like that for separating the harness cover.

Hello CP AND SUNNY: CHAD thank you for this tool video update. Just like you said you can't beat Snap On. Yes they are expensive but they don't break in your hand. SUNNY is looking terrific & thank you for showing her in this video. God Bless you and my best to SUNNY. TMP from N.J.

SnapOn is cool but I would never buy that seam ripper. It is a constant headache with warranty when they break. My coworker doesn’t even use it anymore for that reason. Instead, I got a bunch of small ones online for cheap. They’re less likely to break since the handle is so small and they easily fit into tight spots. For cutting open a lot of harness tape or battery cables I have the Knipex 98 55 dismantling knife. Works good.

Had to de-pin a main harness connector for a bcm on a new f750. Sucked, broke 2 of my snapon ones and had to wait months to get warranty. Idk maybe i was pushing to hard on them but doing 20-30 pin connectors suck

Morning Mr CP I'm back with another story for you. I do more stories than comments and or questions. First off I love those Snap-on pin tools. They definitely break easily especially when you try to bend from side to side. I can't believe that I had no clue what that tool was for. The seam cutter. Perfect example of learning something new everyday. Next I was thinking about you yesterday. I was doing an air compressor discharge hose and they are a pain in the bag but what saved me was an old 1" crow's foot I had buried in my junk drawer. Ya it was one of those made in Taiwan tools 😂😂. Anyway see you in the next one 👍 🇨🇦 🔧

Irwin used to be the best in a lot of their tools. I just got a unibit and it's made in tawnezze and kliens are made in China. I noticed all milwaukee unibits are made in USA.. anyway back on track yes snapon needs to come out with a 9 inch needle nose. But you are right CP they will be 100 bucks and if you only use them a couple times a year the Irwin are fine

Hi CP, i have an older made in usa kd tools brake drum gauge that went down to just 8 inch. I needed a smaller version.Apparently apex bought them out and now it is sold under the gearwrench brand that covers 6 1/2 to 14 inch size drums for setting parking brake shoes with drum in rotor hat on gm small suv's.

Great review, nice to see Ms. Sunny doing well. I agree on DTM, DT and DTP you need a great set of release, crimp and multi pin sets, as well gold and silver pins. I'm sure that others have done work and the resistance thru connections and pins can cause failure. Be sure that the connectors your using meet the OEM specs.

Found the steelman terminal set to be more complete than the snap on when it comes to European (what I work on primarily). Bought a $10 seam ripper set on Amazon to go with it and ever since I've been golden! Great video CP

I can see that the steelman is rebranded in many different companies. Another reason I do not work on European stuff is because I hate having more specific tools, lol

Try turning the red ball into the harness when using the snap on harness splitter. It’s easier the way you demonstrated but that needle sharp tip can pierce wires.
