Ойын-сауық
Today, we go back to Tokyo, Japan and stop by my favorite tackle shop in Tokyo called, Village Door! We speak with the shop owner, Ryuta-san and pick his brain on why he started Village Door and some other cool stories!

There were some Japanese tourists at one of my local fishing spots. I had a really good day and caught over 40 bass in a little over an hour. Every time I had a fish on they ran over to watch and every fish I landed they would shout and cheer and absolutely lose their minds. Knowing how hard bass fishing is in Japan it all makes sense now.
You got to start posting more I watch you more than anyone else yesterday I was watching your videos from 8 years ago

Thanks for watching the videos! Plan on making more content this year for sure!
This places gives off vibes from back when I’d hang out at the local skate shop and just chill with the homies. We need more of these instead of bass pro shops everywhere!
I wish this was a lil longer😭 the vibes were sick
This is actually amazing omg. The aesthetic of the store, the warm feeling and just how cramped and small it feels and looks so cool( which for a tackle shop, being cramped and small, for me at least is the best type of tackle shop)
Jeff is the shit, I got mad respect for you brother, learning the language to be able to communicate with the Japanese anglers, and understand more of the Japanese culture and the way they do things, that’s super cool 👌🏻
So sick!!! Can’t wait to go back!
King, love how you're sharing knowledge 🎣☮️😎
Great video Jeff really enjoy u sharing your trip
Can't wait to visit Japan and check out the tackle shops! Thanks so much for sharing this experience.
villagedoor is hands down the coolest shop in tokyo and tomura san is incredibly nice guy!
Awesome 😎 Geoff
Outstanding video drop!
I appreciate his interview style. He injects a wealth of opinions into the conversation, it all comes together to create an intriguing flavor. ありがとうな😃
Such a cool channel. I was so close to visiting Japan one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit Asia.

Damn dude! That’s insane! That would have been a really cool opportunity!
Geoffrey always has the best videos 🤘🏽
Really great video!
Geoff! I need more and longer fishing videos! Would love to see that Biwa Giant that you got recently.
Super cool tackle store!
Great video, thanks for posting the address. The next time I go to Japan I definitely want to visit that shop.
Awesome cool shop. And what a gorgeous Ambassador.
Fascinating fishing shop --great find!
Awesome bait shop and very cool owner 💯Arigato Geoff San 😎
Dude that’s a Crazy Tackle Shop! 👍 Crazy Bass Fisher in the House! 🎉
Great video 🔥
Need more tackle shops like this in the US-I know there are some around, but nothing like they once were. I used to shop at this spot in Austin, TX off Toomey. Rd. where one side was a RC hobby shop, other side was fishing tackle. The owner was knowledgeable and very hospitable.
Great information!!
I started using Abu Garcia reels like that as a kid and I’m glad I no longer use those hay bailers!
hell yeah! so dope
Cool stuff!
I’m going to be living through Phoenix and your videos over the course of the next few weeks. Thanks Geoff

I’m a very lucky guy to have such a celebrity in my video 😁
I just had a Japanese guy hold my bass yesterday while I grabbed my phone for a picture. I told him they didn't really have any teeth and he held it just fine. He had his friend take a picture of him holding it up too. Whenever I fished the University I would have groups of Japanese people standing around watching me fish it was a big thing. I wonder if that owner of the shop was a big Michael Jackson fan?
You are too humble. Put up a donate button and go JDM bait shopping on us!
The dream!
GREAT VID" THANX 4 SHARING! WISH I KNEW YOU2 WERE OVER THERE? I NEED 4 BAGS OF BLACK/BLUE 6" SAKAMATA SHADS" DARN! GO CBF!!! jd

Anyone ?
Cool video … I know they like the old ( 1980s) Shimano's & Lews . But didn’t think they liked the old ABUs. I know here in the US there are many collectors. In my reels I still use some of the late 1970s ,1980s reels. They bring back cool memories . You said you couldn’t buy that Bass colored lure. Too much $$ or ???
@crazybassfisher

Couldn’t buy it because it was his personal bait 😂
Awesome video. One question, did you bring home a Tokyo Gold K9?
@crazybassfisher
2 ай бұрын
I brought one home actually last year when I met him!
I’d be like a kid in a candy store❣️💘 if I went there, I’d get stopped by customs coming back due to setting off the metal alarms with all the hooks on all the baits I’d bring home ❣️💘🤣🤣🤣
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Why couldn't you buy that ratchet? thing was DOPE!
@crazybassfisher
2 ай бұрын
He only had one and it was his own personal bait 😂
Hey Jeff, going to Japan over the summer and want to stock up on a bunch of lures, are you able to bring lures with hooks back to the US or do you have to take them off
@crazybassfisher
2 ай бұрын
Yeah, you can leave the hooks on no problem!
Can i ask do they sell Daiwa steez 24 SV TW?
What is the price difference being there ??
Hello, to get an idea of the prices of lures in Japan, how much does a deps slide swimmer 250 cost?
@crazybassfisher

Anywhere from 60-100 dollars
Damn what vampire movie yall pull this dude from
Swimbait culture is allll about aesthetics and the air of exclusivity- this more of less confirms that.
Fishing and weebs pure cringe
Totally cool. Thx for the info. If you want to visit Korea, contact me.. will be happy to give you the tour
