I love grid journaling. You should check out Jackie Schomburg. She's fantastic and has dozens and dozens of these videos. She does a lot of collage with paints and neocolors. I think you would really like it. I really enjoyed this video Maremi!

I have never heard of this but I really like it. A good way to test color combos, practice drawing a particular object or even different doodles. Such a nice easy way to play

I love doing this! I've been doing 'inchies' for a long time on watercolor paper and then creating a tiny pocket and I put my personal info (like name, date, email etc) on the back of the inchie and tuck it into the little pocket on the back. I like to use tiny little bows on the top corner and stamps as a focal point but I always add to the front other drawings and bling.

I love what you’ve done with this. Your first grid journal page? Every step, I kept saying “yes!” I loved it when you brought in the brown. I’ve done half a dozen, maybe more, grid pages, different sizes of squares and rectangles. It’s such a freeing process. I love it.

any any any book would work, just have white pages :) honestly ! but... if you would love to have similar to mine, get something with watercolor paper :) mine is 21x21cm

I took the free course that Brooke Henry suggested by Kellee Wynne from color crush creative to learn the basics of this. It’s so much fun to do because you can use up all your little left over scraps of collage too. I love your interpretation of what you have seen

Even with the desaturated color palette this is really interesting for the contrast. A great way to develop ideas for composition to apply to larger pieces of art. Would love to know what sketchbook/journal you are using.

I’ve never heard of this. Do you do something with the squares afterwards?

to me, this looks like when you want to see negatives from a film before you go ahead and produce it. if that makes sense
