Since the release of the new BZ tanks I've been telling myself exactly what Daki said in the title "Almost as good as tier 8" lol

Maybe wg is begining to see that he derp is almost impossible to balance. Either it does not pen and does no damage or it pens almost everything. If they make it inaccurate like in the old days its impossibe to hit weak armor zone and again the gun is useless, in the old days it did not matter all you needed to do is hit the target or near and it would do considerable damage pen or not. Now derp guns are a hit or total miss they either work or dont work at all. In the old days the armor angle did not matter too much if you shot he but now it matters greatly. Take kv2, in the olden days the mm always had one or two of them in every game. Now you rarely see them. Why? Because it only has tier 5 pen on gold ap and the he is useless in tier 7 match and the gun does not have the accuracy to hit weakspots. I dont think there is even a way to balance he derps in current state of game. Another example is caliban. It is so much better with the gold ap than with the he. Why? Because 180 pen is just under the line where most of the effective armor in tier 8 is. Most tank on tier 8 have 200mm effective armor an the he of caliban will do around 250 to 350 damage on it and then you might miss and be on 50s reload. I will not be suprised if the derp tanks would start to fade away from now on or for there to be a he rebalance in a year or two.

Which leads to the actual point for me, HE changes was dumb af. Instead of making HE more predictable, which wg monkeys advertised as one of the main points for the change, it's now more unpredictable than it ever was

@@alexanderstoyanov7464 no they weren't. Do you not remember why the Type 5 heavy was so broken during the super heavy meta? You had a 1400 alpha HE gun, meaning you could, autoaim at tanks and do like 500-600 dmg per shot. It was insanely broken because it could negate a tank best armor and roll almost 700 on hits. The original comment is correct HE is hard to balance and always was, right now it either pens or it doesn't while before it took no skill and you could just spam huge HE guns, not hit weakspots and still do massive damage. Before it was too noob friendly which was why so many noobs played the type 5, it was stupid easy

HE changes was indeed one of the better changes they made in this game. HE derps we’re annoying af, because they could touch your hair and go -800. besides that, the BZ 176 is the prime example of how HE derps still work even in todays meta..

@@alexanderstoyanov7464 HE chances are amazing. Armor is now worth something against HE shells as it just denies them. Maus could take anywhere from 500-900 damage from a non pen Type 5, Shitbarn or Deathstar HE shell. I dunno why you would ever think this should be fine. Now HE is just like other shell. You have to pen for any significant damage. If you just click without aim you get punished with 0 or like 30 damage

gg's Daki! was interesting to see in 2nd game, that the vz55 was keeping up with you even though you were boosting. makes me wonder how slow this tank is without boosting!

I feel like the advantage of getting a position early is kind of pointless when there is no position that is actually good for you. The massive cupolas on all sides makes it impossible both to go hull down and sidescrape.

It's true friend, the truth is that this whole new branch of Chinese heavy looks ridiculous compared to the BZ-176. And me thinking that all tanks from tier 8 onwards would have +10 degrees of depression, square hull instead of that horrible triamgulat front, and the 160mm gun, I was crazy about this branch before I knew that the only resemblance to the BS-176 would be the propulsion that by itself does not make the line worthwhile. WG just disappoints more and more...

honestly they should delete the middle one, the 2 cupolas are already big and the tanks doesn't have the -10 gun depression the tier 8 has nor the kind of chasis the T9 has, also a speed buff since the tanks goes at 30km without rockets and 45 with them, maybe up the stardard up to 35-40 and with rockets up to 55-60km

You can get set on fire through the lower plate if I’m not mistaken, might just be the lower tier.

It's a good thing they removed the 1600 derp's which would make this truly a trader tank. Maybe a slight buff to alpha of the gun would make this somewhat viable in trading, as it stands, you're supposed to trade almost 1:1 in tX games, which does not seem that fun to play tbh. Slightly more accurate gun would make it better but then again, they are 1:1, 1:1.2 trades. Thanks for the video Daki!

Thanks for your work daki, I just wish they'd nerf the tier 8 premium. Do you think the tier 9 might be better than the tier 10? It looks like the turret is a bit better and it doesn't always face tier 10s, looks to me like the progetto 66 vs rhino

Hahaha good title and dsecription. The tank is a huge head scratcher. 2nd game really shows it, like it isn't even as fast at getting to the heavy spot than the Vz 55. lol They took the gimmic gun and so nothing is really left. You are being way too nice about it tbh, but I appreciate that. Not sure why they would invent the tank and then cripple it with weak points like that. Tier 9 armor is way harder to deal with, which just isn't it. Even though that is the case, still tons of people are playing them so big shrug.

Something that people don't really talk about with these rocket tanks: They can climb parts of the map that close to nothing else can

After the EBR has been introduced WG worked over all the climbs. The BZ will not be able to climb anything that the EBR couldn't be hitting aswell

@@melaniejason3912 There are still plenty of places that can be climbed by nothing else. And a EBR doing a climb is not exactly the same as a heavy tank with more than twice the HP. Climbing does not necessarily mean that one has the leave the intended areas of a map

At least with the Czech heavy line the T10 is also phenomenal. The T8 premium is straight up better than the T9, which is certainly a bad think, but it's not better than the T10, which would be utterly absurd. Oh, wait... that just happened with this line.

They need to give this tank something... I mean, Guns decent but trolls, you cant hull down, you cant side scrape, what can you do? Go zoom zoom.. except the VZ, 277, IS-7 all go faster at a constant speed... Give the gun 10 extra pen, and remove at least the commander hatch on one side so that you can peek rubble and try to cover one side.

I think the BZ-176 is the most OP and broken tank WG has released so far and an insult to anyone who bought premium heavy tanks before it, not to mention it has much better stats than tier x ones like -10 Depression, armor and alpha damage absurdly far above the tanks of the same level, it also has the shape of the square chassis instead of that hull in the shape of a triangle in front which is a characteristic that I do not like. I'm not saying the BZ 75 is bad, I'm just saying the Tier 8 looks ridiculously unbalanced. I would like to be part of WG's tank balance team, I would fulfill the dreams of all WOT players, making things much fairer for all players instead of this embarrassment that it has always been and is getting worse...

No kidding, just the other day I got wreck by a 176 in my e75 the guy keep penetrating my turret front with HE, went to wot gg and realize that my turret roof can be penetrate by the 176 around 80% of the time.Seriously, people don’t realize how much roof and engine deck the 160mm gun can overmatch and let’s not forget that the tier 10 have a smaller gun than the tier 8 like wtf wg.

@@monsterbox1308 this is the kind of madness I'm talking about from the WG, friend, without forgetting that the BZ-176's shooting accuracy is absurd, it manages to hit almost all shots with 100% accuracy, that's what I've seen, they show up and they shoot at the same time without even looking for any crosshairs and simply hit everything, but in theory and on paper his accuracy should be terrible, with 0.46 of standard accuracy, but in practice he hits the shots like a Grille 15, I've seen it in one replay a BZ-176 shooting and hitting Grille 15 and Grille 15 shot and missed the BZ 176, how do you explain that? it seems that WG doesn't care anymore about the balance between the tanks in the game, nor the opinion of the players...

Even if you cast aside the gun then what about the bz176 armor then ? I need to be lucky to be able to pen a tier 8 premium tank turret frontally with 340 HEAT. Not to mention dat tank also has the mobility with 4 juice tank too

Lets be honest here, in 2 months noone will play this tank, in curent meta tank has nothing to offer, if you invest in gun than you have 30/45kmh speed, if you invest in speed you have 34/51kmh with standard turbo but you dont have gun coz this gun is, nax no coment, about 50% chanse to hit even in close combat. For trade you need desent gun, this tank doesent have that.
