Fun fact, if you look into the x-ray of this tank you’ll see that the turret ring is still on the amx hull, meaning that either gaijin messed stuff up or the armored box neck is just protected a elongated m24 turret.

Apparently it had a very long service career. After satisfactory use in Algeria, they were brought back to France where they became driver training vehicles by replacing the gun and gun mantlet with a Plexiglas window. They were used into the 80’s like that, when they were phased out and either scrapped or shot to pieces as range targets.

Heya spook! I think an interesting video would be on the TKX(p), the reason I say this, is because the TKX(p) is effectively the same as the TKX, but without some of the additional rolled armor (and just Dm33). What I enjoy to do in the TKX(p) is considering it has pneumatic suspension, with your dozer you can make some pretty fun hull down positions.

My first french premium and one that sits comfortably in my 5.7 line up This things amazing, the chaffee gun is literally the exact same as the amx 13s in regards to pen, its a little lower velocity, and little slower fom th extra wight, but it gets a 50 cal and better armour around the turret, so all things considered its a good upgrade over thr standard low br amx 13

My son used this to shortcut the French tree. We were able to research the entire French tier-1 in 1.5 to 2 hours and avoided much suffering. Well worth the $12 in Golden Eagles. Although now he has used the AMX-M4 much more than the AMX-13-M24.

Its been a while since I used it, but I remembered that the clackity ass engine/transmission sounds really tied the whole goblin aesthetics together perfectly. Edit: I'm pretty sure there's a datamine doc which displays that most Russian barrels have half or twice the HP of other nation's barrels.

Hey spooks! I think you should play the Turan III, its my favorite tank and in my opinion the best tank in the italian tech tree. Great gun, ferocius speed (both fowards and in reverse), has extra armor against HEAT and HE shells and the cupula is as far as i know immune to everything.

if i recall correctly the amx 13-m24 came about cause the 75mm gun the amx13 originally had did not have a effective he round

Attempt 6 Challenge: For high tier support a nations MBT with its respective APC/IFV counterpart (ie Abrams/Bradley, T90/BMP2M, etc.) Challenge is keeping the other player alive and supporting it without stealing kills (breaking barrels, tracking, repairing, etc) it being a random should help make it interesting.

One thing I've never understood about War Thunder is that a truck's engine can absorb an entire 75 mm APHE shell in spite of the fact that realistically almost every single round in the game including 7.62×51 mm should be able to go right through the engine without any issues

I think the reason this thing exists is causd the normal amx13s gun had a horrendous HE round which proved to be a problem on anti insurgency operations, so they grabbed some chaffe turrets and just stuck them onto the hulls

14:34 pro-tip: That's an SU-152, not ISU, which means it uses KV-1S hull, and the lower front plate of the KV-1S is only 60mm. You could have easily killed that SU-152 in one shot at the lower front plate.

Never understood the French. They put turrets from AMX-13s onto their M24 Chaffee hulls to keep the old tanks relevant. So then for some reason they then decided to take the turrets from the old tanks and put them on AMX-13 hulls. But why?

Spookston going insane over the non pens, meanwhile I bounce a shot on a Ratel in a Charioteer side on and I was stock with solid shot so I can't even blame it on APDS

I don't wanna see you suffer, so next time you can try the M47 Patton, this thing is criminally underrated. The tank itself has nothing outstanding, it has nothing special, but also has nothing to criticize about. Basically the peak of being normal (maybe being extremely normal is the special thing about this). -It has an insane turret traverse speed at 33.8 degree per sec (nearly as fast as an Abrams). -Has a negative 10 degree gun depression (basic American tanks). -It has an okay armor, the armor itself can really be trolley sometimes (it once bounced a 122mm APCBC round from my IS-3). -Has a coax 50 cal (will be extremely useful especially when you already lost the commander). -19km/h reverse speed (faster than most medium tanks at its br). -Rangefinder. -Basic 90mm gun that can fire HEAT-FS and APHECBC (not so good but not bad, you can change the ammo type depending on the situation). -Reload rate at 8s between two rounds (not so good but not bad either). -Best Power per weight ratio (17.53hp/ton) to a medium tank at its br (Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma is at 17.94hp/ton). -Portrayed as King Tiger in the Battle of the Bulge (1965 film). It's at 7.3 and it's far better than an M48 (7.7) in nearly all aspects. Everything you need for a Medium tank is on this tank.

One fun/weird thing about this tank is the high elevation of the .50 cal. It's a decent anti-air vehicle. I love this thing! But you won't see me playing it (due to the bushes).

The main advantages over the amx13 fl11 is that it has a 50 cal, and more gun elevation. The advantage over the m24 is that they nerfed the m24 speed.

Gotta recommend the Ratel 20. Having the armament of the Marder IFVs while siting at the same BR as the Type 60 ATM and Zachlam Tager is kinda nutty. With both a 20mm and a SACLOS ATGM its also fairly effective at downing planes. BONUS you can switch into the commander's MG after firing the missile to aim it with only your machine gun poking over a hill.
