I wonder if Matt from Mattlures ever imagined an entire industry and all the competition could have ever blown up like it has today, compared to 20 yers ago. Especially when I can identify as a So Cal native, tackle shop rat, that witnessed its birth in my early and late teens. It's like a dream come true for me. I even saw the original hand made AC plug type baits that were only sold locally at near by lakes, years before Allen Cole ever patented the design. In the mid 80's, the go to bait was the silver and black 7" Bomber Long A, but were eventually considered too small for the 20+ to 30+ lb reservoir stripers being targeted by a very select group.

I guess the closest thing would be the original Virginia show they do every year! Yeah, $5000 was correct😂
I'm from South Africa , how will I be able to get that daily rods . You should visit South Africa , we also have some dope lake's , maybe as much as 3 that can compare to lake fork sise fish . One definitely , holds the current South African record of 7 + kilos / over 15 lbs . Enjoy your content 🎣

@@crazybassfisher looks like they’re sold out, do you have any recommendations for a single joint 8-9” shad glide
Wait. How in the world did I not know about this? 😢
Looks like that would be fun place to be at, & could spend a lot of coin! I've mostly fished big soft swimbaits . I recently just got a klash9 from new drop. But I would like to get a big 9-10" glide more for open water & drawing power. What big glide that suspend do you recommend? I'm ok with spending some $ on one. Im not looking for a budget bait. I'd rather get a quality bait that's not a commonly used that I can spend a lot time with. But a suspending or something I could put weight strips on & make suspend.
@crazybassfisher

There’s surprisingly not many floating big glide baits out there, the best one that fits your description would be a Gan Craft 230 in a floating option, not many guys throw that bait but the guys that do catch them really good on it

Why wasn't this event publicized better than it was. I am at Fork quite a bit and never heard about it before the event. Many anglers I know that live at Fork did not even hear about it before it happened. Many of us would have spent some money there. Next year, do a better job of advertising it.

Just for jokes, not meant to actually sell the baits
I have a 2006 ranger 188vs with a 150 Yamaha, trailer Minn Kota 112. I paid $5000 for it. 😂
Swimbait dudes be always trying to make everything look so interesting with all their stickers . In all honesty I have walked in and out of a few of these shows it’s one of the dorkiest places on earth . I’d compare swimbait shows to a comic book festival. Lots of these baits look great and carry a hefty price tag but do not produce. Very few are actually worth the money most just trash .
5k swimbaits are just a show piece in a cabinet at that point... thats not even fishable! they look amazing but only buyers are collectors n horders
5 grand for a swimbait, lol is that a joke or something?
THERE'S NO WAY IN GODS CREATION I WOULD EVER LIVE COMIFORNIA ALL MY LIFE I'VE HEARD NOTHING BUT HORROR STORIES ABOUT THE WEST COAST. I GUESS THAT'S WHY ALL THOSE COMIFORNIANS ARE FLOODING THE EAST COAST
You could take a 0 off that $5000 price tag and you would still be paying way too much. Probably some sort of marketing ploy to make his $300 baits look like a bargain. Bass fisherman are some of the dumbest around from the Kayakers that have $10K plus invested in their plastic rig to the $100K glass boat guys. The only people making money are the guys making the stuff and also the tournament directors that take 20+ percent of the purse.

I mean, there is a sensible middle ground between scoffing at reasonable prices for custom work and $5K for a swimbait. I’m far from broke personally but I don’t see why that swimbait could possibly be worth that much unless it had a world record attached to it.
@jimrockford4309

@@marsn9897 I'm not STUPID. What are you going to do with that thing? Put it in a glass case? It doesn't look like all that to me and there are plenty that look better for a fraction of the cost. A $30 Hudd will catch way more fish then that thing. The cost of fishing has gotten out of hand. These yaker dudes probablly scoffed at the glass boat guys when they bought their yak's and now they're doing the same thing those guys are doing. Quit pissing off money on fishing because odds are it won't get you anywhere. Even if you win regularly you're just investing that money back into fishing. There's no money in fishing unless you happen to have a successful youtube channel or you're very good at fishing but even better at pimping the gear of your sponsors. Quit watching videos and go learn a lake that has a decent population of large bass. Learn the spots they move up to feed on and if you time it right you can catch large fish on a $1 plastic bait. I've done this and have caught plenty of big fish. Anymore it takes an 8lber to get my heart racing unless i'm fishing a tournament then a 3# might do it if it fights hard enough. I've been at this game along time and have watched it get out of hand. I talked to a guy the other day that was fishing in a $100K+ bass boat. He said his PB was 5 lbs. The last time I was fishing the spot he was in I caught a 5lber. I didn't say anything but talk about running before you can even walk. The guy would have been much better off buying a $5K tin rig he can abuse and really get after the fish instead of that aircraft carrier he was in.
