This Subreddit has a BIG Problem (r/SmallStreamers)

Ойындар

When I found out that the creator of the Small Streamers subreddit doesn't even stream, I felt kind of lied to. I made this video partly to call him out, but also to notify other small streamers that the algorithm does not determine your worth as a content creator. So many small content creators seem to fall into the way of thinking that if they do not get lots of views and make lots of money, they are a failure. This is simply untrue, and I made this video for all those people out there who are streaming because they truly love streaming. Whenever I plan out my content, I always put Twitch first because streaming is something that I love doing. I will admit it can be hard to both stream and upload on YT, but I pus h through because the streaming is worth it. Producing content with only the intention of satisfying the algorithm is ludicrous. I think that people would create content because they truly believe the content they are creating is worth sharing. Anyways I hope you enjoyed my rant lol.
And PapaStanimus if you are reading this, I mean you no disrespect. Just simply calling it as I see it. This is my opinion, and there are two sides to every story. I wish you the best of luck with content creation!!

it seems at a certain point many creators reach the point where they sacrifice creativity to please the algorithm gods, yet as they do this i feel that the copy paste content sphere just gets over saturated and i look for creators who still have their spark or are in a league of their own because it sucks as a viewer to see people go down that saturated path. the only thing i fear is being tempted by that path in the future but i know i would hate myself if i did edit: this is just for me personally, everyone works differently, just go out and create if you want to, its the biggest canvas available.

It depends on your goals man. If you just wanna be a gamer with your friends then by all means just play games and vibe. If you want this to be a career then you need to treat it like one. Homie needs to get off his high horse and let creators choose their own path without him gatekeeping "how" one does it.

@@Stanimus Treating content creation like a career, and uploading other people's content as your own are not the same thing dude. There are many creators out there making innovative, creative content that do quite well for themselves. How did they get there? By following their own path, not by following the tips of a man who got to where he is by riding on the tailwind of someone else's viral post. Like what if the next big, creative content creator stumbled into your reddit and started following your tips instead of producing their own authentic, innovative content?

@@Stanimus it does entirely depend on your goals. fast growth is possible through looking at all the little intricacies of what works but i feel this sacrifices a fair bit of creative control, as with anything there comes a price. yet it is still possible to find this balance between creative control and mass appeal that the most successful creators have proven works. its the classic "keep the current audience" but also experiment with other ideas to bring more people in. Im not familiar with your content but you HAVE proven success, so people can still learn from you. Taking advice in any capacity from people who are experienced in something is a no brainer lmao its just someone else learning the hard parts so you dont have to

Not true. A reactor could kill a good video clip, Also if you watch his long form videos he does actually play the games. You took a shot and failed bro. Try better research next time, journalism isnt your strong suit. I dont see you saying the same stuff about Mr Beast's. Reaction channel. Its strait up Mr Beast Reacting to stuff and the name is Beast Reacts

I streamed for 6 years, 3 professionally. I got to about 20k followers before I left twitch for youtube. I think I am qualified to teach small streamers how to be better if I was averaging 50-100 viewers during my tenure.I still stream, but on youtube. I help people understand what it takes to grow. As you can see, this account I am commenting from gets a lot of views. I know how to do it and I teach people freely by answering their questions. I'll be hanging on to the /r/smallstreamers subreddit and keeping the conversation focused on improvement. It's not that complicated. Edit: If you are a small streamer and want to learn how to win, join my discord and hit me up. I can help you understand how to grow very easily.

You know what? You are right. Bigger number = better creator. I will now do everything in my power to satisfy the algorithm. It will be my new religion. Look at my new YT short I jsut posted; you will be so proud. I think growth and analytics are the most important thing about being a good content creator. Thank god I found /r/SmallStreamers or else I would be lost.

@@tarttizzle Do it however you want to man. Just stop telling other people how THEY have to do it. Stop being so preachy and gatekeepy on how one should be as a creator.

@@tarttizzle listen bro. The algorithm is designed to show people quality, interesting content. If no one is watching your videos, it's because they're bad, not because the "almighty algorithm gods" didn't deem you worthy. Have a little humility. Learn from some people who know what they're doing. Mr beast is able to appease the algorithm while keeping his creative spark. Papa doesn't "worship the algorithm". He just understands it, and uses that knowledge to make fun content. People like him and they like his content, and he can give you the knowledge you need to succeed in any area you wish. You're just too caught up in your own meager accomplishments to see that.

@@Stanimus I'm not saying you're not allowed to use other people's content for your own personal gain, in fact big streamers do it ALL the time. It's just that those streamers are generally not the head moderator of a subreddit designed to help streamers "better themselves." I'm sure your old Twitch content was dope. And I'm happy you feel fulfilled with the shorts you are posting. If that is how you want be remembered, then by all means go for it. I just have a hunch that even you understand what you're doing is at the very opposition of what it means to be a good content creator.
