Don’t be delusional. Meat is neither healthy nor making you intelligent. Sure people go in circles from refined sugar to animal products and vise versa. When comes the moment they realise that they should start eating healthy foods instead of the standard American diet. Just eat healthy veggies and fruits and berries and nuts and seeds and leaves. People started to get diseases as soon as they started to pollute their blood with animal products, blocking insulin receptors.

"chemical imbalance" is just a term used to explain why a person has depression or doesn't feel well and to be prescribed an "anti depressant" for which no evidence exists that they even work or that a "chemical imbalance" even exists as there is no way to test for that. This is from a retired psychiatrist neighbor of mine. In other words, "chemical imbalance is hocus pocus and it's more likely to be an issue with what one chooses to eat.

The real culprit here are the highly unsaturated fats which are likely to be high in polyunsaturates thus triggering the Randle Cycle (in which glucose competes with free fatty acids) Possibly soy but even if given lard, it too is often high in omega 6 fats and sometimes exceeding the saturates. This is because 🐖 diets feeds contain soy 🌽 grains etc. It will not be the same lard that was around in grandparents day - high in saturated and mono-unsaturated fats, but low in pufa

Studies have been done. Look up the book by the Drs. Eades research team. Saturated fats alone do not cause problems. Consuming fats with carbs causes the problems. A steak is fine, but add a potato or bread and it's bad. Butter alone is good, but bread+butter is bad or potato+butter (or sour cream) is bad. High-carb diets are also bad because they cause insulin spikes. Insulin is a fat-creating hormone, creating fat right in your blood. When you consume saturated fats alone or only with protein, digestion breaks down the fats and they don't enter your bloodstream in a harmful form. When you consume a lot of carbs, your body makes fats that kill you.

What seems to affect CVD risk the most is cardiovascular damage, where high blood pressure and high blood sugar seem to be the biggest culprits (and this checks out with epidemiology too, poor as those studies are, as hypertension is associated with about 300% increased incident rate, vs. LDL 40%, and poor blood sugar control 600 - 1000% increased incident rate). kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGGrzKeno6i-eZM.html

show a single one What you are probably referring to are studies that look into associations by population analysis (ie. epidemiology), but the problem with those are that the effects are way smaller than the confounding variables (like smoking, lack of exercise, etc.). A proper study to show causation is experimental with good controls (e.g. randomized controlled trial). While there are few studies about the carnivore diet, there are multiple controlled studies about the ketogenic diet that show benefits for a wide variety of issues, and the carnivore diet is a type of ketogenic diet. See the channel "Low Carb Down Under" which has videos of doctors and professors doing presentations on studies regarding diets.

@@Veganasty I promise to take it seriously, if you can produce an RCT that shows harm. As far as animal cruelty, I'm a firm advocate of treating farm animals well and support new laws and regulations for it. Animals die for all diets though, that is inevitable. As far as your list, if you look into those, they are worse in plants in almost all cases (antibiotics perhaps not, but there are already mandatory washout periods before the animals can be butchered).
