It's so crazy it works!

Watching these series one learns how important it is not to panic. uThermal even provides education after games showing that if the opponent had simply not panicked and over-reacted to the appearance of the Planetary the game was essentially theirs to loose. Lesson learned.

Please do this build again and just aim for using the reaper grenade to launch queens/roaches/stalkers and other units into the PF. It sounds like a worth idea to try.

The reaper man himself does it again! Honestly I never doubted he'd get to GM with this one, having free rein in terms of units apart from PF early is proving its worth. And the mix of strats is real nice, throwing/baiting units into the PF while macroing behind. Awesome stuff.

Game 1 reminded me of something Grubby said when tower rushing in WC3: The point of a tower rush is not to kill them with your towers, it's to force them to fight when your army is stronger.

29:20 Yeah, queen is always a great choice. Queens fill so many roles. Battle power, Build Power, Logistics AND support. It's crazy! If you kill his last queen he can't inject larva, much less creep tumor or heal.

I just had a very risky and yolo idea. Proxy the Cc for the PF as usual but also proxy an engineering bay (making a second at home is a good idea). Make marines When you’re ready to build the planetary float the engineering bay in too and cap the natural. The marines can attack from behind the wall. This is most likely to work against Zerg. May need to build a supply depot on site to help cap.

it was definitely the reaper micro in the beginning that mentality broke them

the mass reaper planetary rush was amazing the threat of grenading his units into ur planetary is crazy 1 wrong step and its basicly dead

Nahhh, come on. The PF rush is so weak we really don't need to help people out against it, it's gonna fail anyway if you're playing against someone that's your level

Food for thought: Splash only challenge? (mines, tanks, PF, EMP, Thor's javelin missile...)

Reaper is one of my favourite units. You use them insanely well!

I think there's a pattern where the planetary rushes work MUCH better against Protoss because they don't have creep, and not enough units to protect their workers while blocking the CC... We keep seeing them either focusing on stopping the CC and losing all their probes, or protecting at least some probes and then having no response when the PF is up. Most of these games that go long are against Zerg, because they can at least try to maneuver around it. Whereas Protoss CAN'T survive if you're blasting down their tech buildings with the PF or burning all their probes while they're attacking the CC.

If there is one thing watching uThermal thought me It's that reapers hard-counter roaches. New players take notes!

thinking, marauders are pretty cheap on gas (4:1), tanky, and non-light - they could be useful around ghosts for soaking up banelings (and bonus damage + slowing vs banes too)
