whenever there's a video about a mk6 gti there's comments about how its unreliable, i find it funny how its mainly from people who have never owned one 😂😂

I’ve owned 2 MK4’s, MK5, MK6 and a 3 series BMW and they aren’t reliable lol unless you maintain them religiously and or have full warranty and they are not cheap in 🇺🇸 they are probably some of the most unreliable vehicles in the US most all German vehicles are. I still love them no matter how much I hate them and talk shit about them lol!

@Crypto King nah had an mk6 gti stock mk7 gti stage 2 and now have a 7R and even stock the R is a lot better than my stage 2 gti was. The gti is a very boring car to drive 7R is on a different level

What a fantastic car! Lamar has exactly the same taste as me in terms of cosmetic updates without losing the Oem look. I actually couldn't believe it....as I've looked around online and never seen one with the same details. I have a 2013 3rd Gen engine with the updated tensioner etc. White GTI cabriolet with 48000 miles on it. Mint. Have ordered the same Red Gti wing badges, gloss black mirror caps, Red Boot badge and even the same style steering paddle shift extensions....lol. I do have Zenon headlights which are cool and the same De Troit 18 inch wheels which are the best Gti wheels ever! I'm nervous about doing it, but going to have a Stage 1 tune with Bangs and Pops added in Sport Mode only. No other mods. Have added a Wolfsburg Edition Badge on the right tailgate which looks like it belongs. Have had 17 Vws and this is my absolute favorite...especially in Cabriolet form with the raked roof....Brings a smile to my dial every day I drive it.

Lovely Mk6 GTI, Rapid too. Very nice, classy. Underrated. Quality build , fit & finish better than on later cars. I had one from new in 2012, sold after 70 months. Should have kept it. 😀

My car has the same engine as this and they sure are torquey when mapped!

Does sound good with downpipe and res delete. Brilliant cars love mine just needs a downpipe and some R-Tech magic

can i ask everyone what golf i should get ? i want power but i want to be able to tune it when im ready, i also want some nice interior mainly i want some nice looking but comfortable seats. mt last cars are the mini cooper s and then i had a audi a5 sportback but ive been looking at golf r's and would like some feed back on what golfs you lot like so i can have a look at all. please and thanks.

@@hampshirephoto ​yea mate def start doing that. i have a stage 1 turboed gt86 and that's at 285bhp, but only 240ftbs so way lower than this. but the car started off at such low torque that it's very hard to squeeze more out of it. they say 0-60 time is around 5.5 secs but will test it out at some point with a draggy. big improvement on stock numbers, but still lacking in the torque department (which is what pins you in your seat, as we all know).

I don't see why he would get an ed35 next, literally the same car he has but different engine and his gti is already stage 2, if he's bored of the beast he has now then ed35 will definitely be boring too 😂 maybe mk7 chassis next? cupra? he has options tbh.

I'm not sure which company made his in particular, but I got some in a very similar style from FullhouseCustoms. Their quality is insane, but there's other companies such as RolaPlates and Exclusive Registrations who do cut down / gel or acrylic plates. Hope this helped

Best mk6 engine sits In the edition 35 ea113 and it comes with the k04. U should have waited instead of buying a engine that is a ticking bomb

Mk6’s run around 260 or a little over. You may be thinking of the mk7’s which is around 300 or just a little over on a stage 1

@@mattsamuels3607 not that I know of mate. I think it’s down to your tuner - mainly generic you’ll get similar figures but a custom tune you’ll get what your car can put out.

I have a stage 1 mk6 GTI, 260bhp and 418nm. Stage 2 only makes 20odd bhp more at about 280. The reason is the size of the turbo I believe, need a K04 which will then see you with 350bhp.
