Kay!! You truly are the nicest, sweetest, most genuine person on the Internet. I found you slightly later, but let me tell you, it was the best thing to come out of breaking my leg! You won't ever understand how much you help. Imposter syndrome is such a horrible thing to deal with. I have it bad. Listening to you talk about such things I end up in tears because it sounds so much like me. You are so articulate and amazing to share what you are going through. I have watched every single video on both channels... I'll wait for as long as it takes for you to do whatever you need to do. Just make sure to look after yourself, and we will all be here waiting. Sending a big virtual hug! 🤗

I discovered that I have a reasonable mezzo soprano solo voice , at 54 years old, after having sung in choirs since age 4! Found an excellent voice coach, and I am still singing in concerts now, aged 72. So, you GO girl!!!! And Clover is a blessing to all of us, just like YOU are!

Kay, I enjoy all your content. I usually watch you while I eat lunch. It's like catching up with a friend. I too am a Soprano. I taught elementary music for 24 years, now I teach 4th and 5th grade strings part time while I'm building my Reiki energy healing business. I have a small KZread channel - 500 subs - and understand the frustration around what gets views, likes, news subscribers etc. A friend gave me really good advice - do what I want, post when I want. I know you make $ from KZread so that makes it a different feel for you but you are a sincere, lovely, knowledgable person. Anyone who unsubscribes isn't worthy of your awesomeness. Also, maybe you are such a good teacher, they got completely organized and now no longer need your services 💚💚💚

Said it before and I will say it again, if you made videos about watching paint dry and just talking about whatever you feel like, I would watch. I’m not in the music or entertaining industry, but I still enjoy you showing us anything you want to about any facet of your life because you are amazing, interesting, funny, kind, REAL, vulnerable, accepting, and all around so COOL. Just like any other friend, I enjoy hearing about your interests and expanding my horizons through learning and sharing. Also, thank you for keeping it real about snuggling up with Clover and the Switch. There’s a time for spouses and there’s a time for ourselves too. My husband and I like our alone time too and not enough people talk about that. We all have to do what works for us and find our people who appreciate that. Whoever unsubbed after seeing Clover’s video might have done it because they are decluttering their subscriptions because they are being encouraged to hyper focus on their personal goals and that means unsubbing to extra entertainment. It’s hard, but please remember the silent few outnumber the loud crowd. For every Karen, there’s hundreds of not thousands of Kay lovers. ❤❤❤❤

I like that you are having a mixed variety of videos on this channel. Your videos of organizing with trial and error, showing your thought process included are great for helping me get going on my own projects with more confidence. I especially like the way that you speak like you are having a conversation, at a regular pace and tone showing how you are actually feeling at the time of filming mostly , you are not being super cheerful and hyper fast paced like many KZreadrs are. I look forward to the snippets of your visits to the dog park with Yves and Clover, your food preparations , going to a shop to get things for the projects, with all of them including conversations with Clover and sometimes Yves. I am thinking that many KZreadrs are going through a "crisis" since many people are back to a more pre "Panini" life out and about, working, socializing in person is so much sweeter than it was being taken for granted in the past. It is inevitable that people are spending less time watching KZread videos . Hopefully even ones who have unsubscribed to your channel are still popping in to see what you are up to every now and then . Thank you for your down to Earth channel here. Take Care Stay Safe And Healthy ❣️🐱🖖✌️☮️🌈

23:19 girl, I hear you. I’m a pianist first and foremost but sang my first solo in college. I wouldn’t do solos before then. I can “hide” behind the piano… and it IS different because the instrument is not my body the way that the voice is. I’m in my 60s and really need to be singing more than just in my church choir. Keep it up, my dear!

Great video! And as a pianist, piano teacher, and accompanist, I loved hearing about your vocal journey! I've had similar feelings over the years and went back for more training later in life. It was so much fun to develop my skills as a pianist and teacher. I had some opportunities to perform in piano duets, and ensembles. Great experience. Since then I have settled into a slower paced routine of teaching in my home studio and accompanying at my church. It's a perfect balance as I'm now 66. Music has added so much joy and connection to others throughout my life. So thankful my parents invested in my many years of piano lessons. Keep up your consistent practicing and performing. I know it's lots to juggle but it's OK to let one thing go (or do less of) in order to pursue your musical journey further. There are only so many hours in the day. I love all your videos!

No spice drawer here - we don’t use that many or often enough to justify it taking premium space in the kitchen, so it lives in a bin up in a cupboard... BUT you did inspire me to go have a look at it, and I’ll definitely need to add labels on the tops (jar shuffling to find the right one isn’t too long, but still0. Thank you!

I wish you all best in finding your balance, and can't wait to see what you upload in the future. You are one of the few channels that I keep up with regularly and enjoy the content. Your spice drawer looks amazing. If you ever have a chance, I would love your take on organizing awkward spaces. I have a corner cupboard in my kitchen that is a sort of trapezoid shape. I find it difficult to find organization solutions for this space that make it easy to use. I watched this video as a way to distract from my anxiety for returning to work tomorrow. Your calm voice and video helped a lot! (I also spent my break catching up on your gaming videos, especially the lives, just a few more uploads to go and I am all caught up there too!)

Those new bottles are SO cute, I love them so much better than the flip lids! Although, having to layer two of the wooden "shelves" on top of each other to stretch across the drawer would drive me crazy, since it doesn't allow for the jars to be level all the way across. 🥴 Too bad you can't find ones that are long enough to stretch all the way across your drawer! The end result looks so good though, glad you could fit a few more in the front! I just thought I would share my personal two cents (for what it's worth 😅) on people who unsubscribe during your vlogtober or vlogmas months. First of all, if you love it, then you gotta do you! I know it's a LOT of work on your end to do those, so props to you for challenging yourself and doing something you enjoy! For me personally, so much content (especially 2 months so close together, October *and* December) did feel like a lot. I actually almost unsubscribed because I get weirdly anxious if I can't watch every single video from the creators that I follow (which I know is silly, because I *could* just watch the ones that interest me, but I also have FOMO! 🙈). I'm already overly anxious during the holidays and feel like I don't have enough time in general, but especially trying to keep up with all the content creators that I adore. So it's a tough choice. I'm the same way with podcasts. I know I subscribe to too many and should really cut back just for my own personal sanity, but it's hard because I love them all. So sometimes unsubscribing from creators who put out too much content makes the choice easier of which content to "release" from my overly loaded queue, for my own sanity. So I just thought I'd share my thoughts on it, in case it's helpful! I did end up sticking with you (obviously, lol), because I just really love your sweet, positive personality. I really appreciate you and your content! ♥️

It was a great deal. All my life I sometimes don’t do something I think I would be good at because I thought I would be made fun of mainly in school and honestly lost out on opportunities just because I was disappointed once . Hi Kay, I hope your new year is going well. How is your mother doing? Send her my best and prayers. I actually like how you do your videos. It’s like having a conversation with a friend. I love getting Clover and Yves updates so keep ‘em coming. 🎉❤. I love the jars.

Looks amazing! I'm going to do the same once I have a spice drawer. Have you thought of sharing some recipes you make with all of those spices? I'd be interested in that

I know you were talking about your own situation, but it was inadvertently a pep talk. I’m in a similar boat revamping involvement in the arts as someone who is older. So, thanks for the reminder to keep on the gas! Also, honestly if you just did the videos that performed well on KZread, you’d sacrifice so much of your authenticity and what makes your channel so personable. When you’re putting up content you really want to share, it shows. This channel is for you as much as it is for others. 💕 (What I really mean is keep Clover clips a comin’ lol. 👀) p.s. I misspelled Yves name in a comment at one point. I apologize. 😑

Yes! Stay on the gas! No worries! Yves' name gets misspelled all the time. It's only a common name in Canada or France or other French speaking countries.

Yes I do! We cook a lot and the one that gets the most action is the ground cumin. The moment that starts running low....PANIC ENSUES! LOL

I always love your organizing tips. Call me OCD, but the unevenness of the bamboo spice holder would drive me NUTS! I love the bottles for the spices, yet I liked your old spice holder much better. Clover is adorable and I think you're adorable as well with the way love and take care of your baby, Clover. 🐕😄

Hey! Some of us care about all of it! I love when you chat openly with us. I'm so proud of you and happy that more singing things are going well! You have all my patience (okay maybe I'm a little impatient, but I can wait, honestly) you do what you can when you can, I hate that some people are unsubscribing, but those of us who care will still be here the drawer looks AMAZING! I've got the same shaped jars but different lids. I really want to make a spice drawer but the drawer that would contain them contains other things that can't really go in the upper cabinet where the spices currently are... you're doing wonderfully, and I'm not a trained professional, but you know most of us on here think your voice is amazing. I am glad you've come so far with the imposter syndrome stuff but I can understand that it still has some hold on you. But you rock, keep kicking butt in all things you apply yourself to! LOVE YA!

I have a question. By taking your spices out of the original container, how do you know when they are expired or in need of replacement? Our drawer is similar but our spices are arranged my bottle shape. Lol. It can be a challenge to find the only you need but they nest better that way. Plus I think we have about twice as much as your drawer. It’s crazy but it works for us.
