My free Nihilego encounter was shiny and that made me super happy since I did a raid the previous day and it ran away!

I wish I had seen this when you first posted it! Didn't realize that the rewards for that research were all ultra beasts until Friday. I live in a remote area so I only did one raid that week for Guzzlord on Monday from the airport on my way back from NY. Did a second raid on Friday and saw the reward was Blacephalon and freaked out! Finally looked it up and saw what I had missed out on. The weird thing is I went to do the third raid to claim Stakataka (which would have been cool cause it's not available in my region), but the research had reset like I hadn't claimed anything! I would have had to do 2 more raids to get anything. I complained to Niantic, and they basically said sorry but we can't do anything because the research had ended by the time they responded. They said it could have been reset by travelling into a different time zone. Not true as I was in the same city from the time I claimed the Blacephalon till the time it reset. Oh well. Congrats on that shiny Kartana. Somehow the shiny Ultra Beasts have all totally eluded me.

Me and my brother did a guzzlord raid together, and we figured out the first one of the day did not have the background card guaranteed, my brother got a regular guzzlord with my background and I got blessed with a shiny 91% guzzlord that had the background on my first raid of the event

I was able to get a hundo Guzzlord with the background card from a remote, definitely didnt expect that lol

I got a shiny nihilego from the timed research. I also did Nihilego raid hour from Australia and managed only one Nihilego with the special background.

I got 2 shiny guzzlord back to back yesterday, they both had the catch card. They were both decent IV's as well

I did get a shiny Guzzlord with a background card. I was way over odds for him though. I finally get him and it just happens to get the background with it

Pretty sure the NY strat is only for the in person events. My first guzzlord AND Nihilego were both non-background

My research rewards weren't anything to write home about, apart from I got a shiny Xurkitree, so I don't need to worry about raiding that one this week!

My 2nd Guzzlord raid was a shiny with the background!!!

I got a shiny Kartana and shiny Xurkitree!! I didn't have those shinies before the research!

I completed the research, and was sods law, the one Shiny i got was Guzzlord, the one i already had and spent 40 raids getting lo but was fun anyways JT!

I still haven't gotten a background but I got a shiny Buzzwole and Kartana from the research

I only did 6 raids for raid hour and on the 5th and 6th raid I got shiny so I got back 2 back and the 5th one was a shiny XXL Guzzlord

From that research i got no shinies however I did get a hundo Kartana (it was also my dex entry), its cp was 1575. Congrats on the shiny kartana too by the way. Great content as all ways keep up the good work.

Yesterday was fantastic! I managed to get a hundo Guzzlord (second ever hundo legendary, I do have a lot of 98%), a Guzzlord with the background, and a 98% shiny Xurkitree from the special research!

I have not got the background yet after 12 raids 😅 I do hope I get one😊

I didn't get anything cool from the free timed research but doing Guzzlord raids I did 12 lost 2 successfully caught 9 and 1 of the 9 successful catches had the cool background I already have the shiny it was a 1st raid shiny from when it was released shiny during Halloween last year so I was just trying for the background as for the rest I'm looking for both the shinys and the background and just the background on the ones that aren't shiny eligible

I finally got a shiny Guzzlord. I did 74 raids with no shiny, then get a 96% from the research😅
