Mint Condition was a throwback Band sorta to the 70s during the 90s. Underrated but sheer talent from these Brothers.

STOKELY WILLIAMS

Mint Condition was a six piece R&B band out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They were discovered by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis in 1989. This was actually their first hit single released in 1991. An extremely talented group lead by lead singer Stokely Williams. Keri Lewis, no relation to Terry Lewis, was actually one of Mint Conditions principle writers and producers. He's no longer with the group though. He pretty much left the group after he married Toni Braxton. Should be also noted that Stokely Williams actually kind of played cupid and kind of helped get Keri and Toni together. Mint Condition I believe is either on hiatus or disbanded with Stokely Williams finally going solo. Not sure what their official status is right now.

Mint Condition and Tony, Toni, Tone’ were the last of the great soul/r&B bands ( not to be confused with the term “ boy band”🙄, those guys all actually played instruments). The lead singer is non other than Stokley, who has since gone solo with a string of hits in his own to this day.

Love this group, the lead singer is named Stokley he also has songs as a solo artist too, yes that was Toni Braxtons husband.

Mint Condition, just real talented musicians singing and playing their instruments. I still have this 12" single vinyl and the CD album. May I suggest "Forever In Your Eyes", another great song from the same album, Meant To Be Mint, released in 1991.

You all should go look up some of their live shows. Freaking insanely good band. Also, after Prince died, his old band The Revolution went on a tribute tour and they brought in Mint Condition's lead singer to sing Prince's lead.

Lead singer is Stokely. Notice he was also playing the drums I saw them in concert a few years ago with Floetry, and Stokely was playing quite a few instruments. They are from Minnesota, discovered by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, mentored by Prince. It’s worth listening to the rest of the end of the song. This song came out when I was in the second grade and finally moved to a place where I had BET.
