this is just a mockery of Christianity in general, hes comparing himself to Jesus, God, Moses, and Noah etc. There's nothing wrong with him creating his own line of music but people are free to voice their own opinions, this is his reaction page. I've seen Tom wear a cross necklace in previous vids so I'm assuming he just feels uncomfortable about it.

This might be the first reaction from you where I feel like you just were hating and hating throughout the entire thing without giving it a chance, I mean yeah what he's doing is corny but the whole hell and heaven thing is just him being confused about his Christianity when for all of his life he's been told he'll be going to hell for being gay but wanted to go to heaven because that is what he's been taught which was the whole point of the Montero music video but this one is on the side of him embracing Christianity and praising it! Also, the "get the gays" part is only targeted towards the gays because we have been hit the hardest with being shamed and hated for their sexuality and religions, so I feel that is a little homophobic of you also the part where he dances as a cheerleader the only reason there are no women dancing with him is because HE IS GAY, he doesn't want to satisfy any of the straight weirdos with seeing women...

Wow, you feel very uncomfortable and afraid! Congratulations for having the courage to react to something that goes against your principles. Unfortunately, most people are not as mature as you when it comes to separating religion from science or religion from societal values. They interpret the Bible so rigidly that they harbor disdain for anything different. Here in Brazil, 80% of Christians are like this. I understand that a black gay man portraying Jesus might seem disrespectful, but he is a Christian himself. He has chosen this daring path to announce his comeback. You completely grasp it, as always. There's no profound message here; it's just his style of announcing his return this year-with more confidence, stability, success, and without fearing haters or others. At the end of the day, there's no J Christ disrespectfull at all, and he wants us to reflect about that.

PLEASE READ THIS because I really want you to give Lil Nas X a second chance (redemption if you will). I am non-religious and enjoy your reactions and assume you have the best intentions and that you genuinely care. I appreciate you and the work you do and completely see where you are coming from, being that you are religious with a different perspective on these things. I too can see where this might offend you. So I come to you to ask that you react to his album MONTERO (It's most definitely Mental Health related). Skipping the song Montero itself and INDUSTRY BABY, I think you'll understand his approach and his music better. Yes he's gay, yes there's some imagery in some of the music videos which are most definitely GAY, But.... I know you can look past all that and see it for what it truly is. It really would do you a favor not to write him off, for yourself and some of us who may not like your reaction to this music video. If you must start with anything, listen to Lil Nas X - SUN GOES DOWN. That song Mentally got me through a lot and I would love your input on it.

The part that really got me was him mocking the death of Jesus on the cross, it is one thing to mock a religion as a whole, but picking the one speceific thing which all Christians relate to due to the cross representating a symbol for your own life, is just disguisting on Nas X part. He really has no talent, which is why he must do these crazy things to get reactions.

@@TheDiamondSlayer1 If he has talent why is he specifically using the most sensitive topics to gain views? If he was talented, the music would be enough, he wouldn't have to delve into the emotional weight of religion. A true artist, would be Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, Ren.. these are artists where their lyrics and composition is enough, they tackle deep issues and they can be perceived as having weight to their lyrics. Where is the weight in Nas X lyrics? Where is his creativity? You think mocking religion is creative? It has been done for thousands of years, since Jesus died on the cross, it's nothing new, the only difference is that for the first time in histroy society thinks he that is is "talent". No my friend, you are just brainwashed.

Perhaps religion, specifically Christianity, has created a load of turmoil for the dude. From what I've heard, the man is super gay, and he believes in God. I imagine that's quite an internal struggle, seems like it could be important for him to express his feelings on the matter.

@@DarrinDzikowicz I mean it's pretty trivial to say "I believe in God". There are millions who probably say this, there are rapists and murderers who believe in God, therefore the belief doesn't mean anything. Nas X in his little world possiblky thinks that this is art of some sort, it's only "music" etc. But in reality, he is ignoring the message of Christianity, to be a Christian means being humble upon God always learning, this man just sits in his sin and mocks Jesus. I don't think he has any type of struggle with God, he is playing God.

lol Tom, in the 100+ videos I’ve seen of yours, not ONCE have you said a single negative thing towards gay people. Tom’s such a good dude, he’s not homophobic in the slightest. This is what’s wrong with the world today, if you don’t like a song or don’t agree with one single part of it and you get labeled as homophobic. The quickness to label someone with any HATE word (or “ist” words) should really be put in check. That’s like saying you didn’t like a specific rap song because of what it says and someone then calling you a “racist” if the rapper happens to be black, or Latino, or any race. That is such a dangerous way of thinking. You haven’t watched many of Tom’s reactions if you think this man is at all homophobic because he doesn’t like this one song, and specifically if you’re calling him homophobic over 1 line in the song. Being homophobic is literally hating people based on that, Tom wouldn’t even tolerate a comment of hate on his channel. Come on, let’s put the hate words away and reserve them for the ones that actually ARE those things. We like being positive, accepting, and respectful around here so please don’t use very strong and powerful hate words to describe Tom. Sorry, this just made me sad because good people shouldn’t be labeled as that, it’s meaning is very strong and doesn’t apply to him.

for the people defending Nas and saying that he didn't mock Christianity and those weren't his intentions and are mad at Tom for literally reacting to a video on HIS reaction channel. this music video is full of symbolism of demonic references including the horns of the Baphomet everywhere. he continues to say he loves Jesus and is turning into Christianity (which is wonderful) but he's made no effort to try, instead just made a mockery all over social media. the media is blinded by his acts and that's why everyone is so against anything negative Tom or anyone has to say under this video or the original video. besides that continue with this awesome content Tom. don't shy away from expressing your true opinions, it is your channel after all!

This was almost impossible to watch. It’s one thing to not agree with the Bible but to take the Bible and use the people and stories to change it to a level of spitting in the face of it, that’s the hardest part for me. When you want to tell everyone you’re a Christian but make music and say things that are the complete opposite of what is written and believed in just to make a mockery of it, it’s ridiculous and attention seeking. He purposely made this knowing people would watch it just to see what everyone is talking about, but no one I’ve seen comment actually like it or the song itself. This is what the future of music will look like with all of the ones doing this kind of stuff. Sad thing is, most christians now including myself are not saying anything negative to the gay community, yet we get treated as if we hate gay people. Not true at all! I’m one of those who don’t care at all what people want to be as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. But forcing Christians to have to say “this is too much” because they want to see what you’ve made, just so people can hate on you so you get views, is EXACTLY the goal for this I think. Intentions mean A LOT and he’s not intending for any of this to be positive towards God or fans. It’s just about “look at me, me, me ,me” and all about SELF which is the opposite of who Jesus is. I’m glad you reacted to it so I don’t have to see it again lol. That’s a one and done disappointment in MUSIC, let alone disappointment in his own musical abilities. Sorry for the long comment. That was the first I heard the song all the way through. It’s was a monumental disappointment and I had no expectations lol. I’m big on people saying what they feel and how they think, that’s great. But to say this is one thing and instead his intention is actually to offend and belittle what people hold first in their life is just something no one should support. Even if you believe in anything else or nothing at all, I don’t believe in mocking people’s belief system in this way. I don’t think any Muslim, Buddhist or any other spiritual belief would appreciate someone taking it and doing this with it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I simply agree with everything Reaction Therapy says. This is not Lil Nas X respectfully trying to say he can be gay and Christian. This video has so much sin in it with the necklace that says Sex while pretending to be Jesus. Nobody can be like Jesus. Jesus was perfect and if you’re trying to praise Christianity then do it the right way and read your bible. Don’t watch this hocus pocus type of stuff
