From the internet: The discography of the American country music duo The Bellamy Brothers consists of 30 studio albums and 72 singles. The duo charted for the first time in 1976 with "Let Your Love Flow", a #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although they only charted one other top 40 pop hit, they charted 26 top ten country hits.

Sebes, I love that you’re doing all this country music. You’ve learned that it’s just people singing about real life. One of the old stars mentioned in this song is Patsy Cline. She was a legendary female singer, who passed away way too young. Two of her best songs are “I go walking after midnight” and “Crazy.”They’re both worth a listen. Nothing quite like them these days.

Great Song The Bellamy Brothers had a few songs like "LET YOUR LOVE FLOW", and IF I SAID YOU HAD A BEAUTIFUL BODY WOULD YOU HOLD IT AGAINST ME" John Anderson had SEMINOLE WIND and old songs "SWINGIN':, SHE JUST STARTED LIKING CHEATING SONGS, 1959 and I JUST CAME HOME TO COUNT THE MEMORIES. It seems that each generation has its own style of Country The Bellamy Bros. and John Anderson are OLD SCHOOL.

Oh man, I can relate to this! I'll be 77 on Saturday and country music has been the soundtrack for all of those years. My great-grandson will be 17 soon, and from his earliest days he was raised on the music from 3 generations (his Mama raps,, His Gramma rocks, and me, I teach him the "redneck' side of his heritage)) My greatest pleasure is always with him and I listening to the greats of country and hearing him sing along loud and proud and knowing every word of a song from Hank Williams or Waylon. Willie, Johnny, Jones, Haggard, Buck Owns or even Dolly's 9 to 5 .etc.. I'm so glad to know you are discovering the pleasures of country music too, Sebs. Lots of lessons to be learned from the songs they sang and the lives they lived..

You are right about the same kind of people love country music. I was born and half raised in a coal camp, loved old country, then in my teens i played oldies rock and finally back to loving the old country music. I like some newer too but old traditional country is my first and last love as far as music go's. Thank for this great newer song , but with an old country tilt. Please check out John Anderson's songs. They are great! He has a unique voice. Check out Seminole wind, Swinging, and so many other of his songs.

Nice to see someone find the Bellamy Brothers. They had a good run of popular country music starting in the 1970s and generally mixed some humor into their lyrics -- check out "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body" for an example. My favorite of their songs is Old Hippie -- probably because I'm the same age as the old hippie in the song. Theirs is an interesting catalog -- have fun with it.

Thank you so much for introducing me to this song! I can’t believe I’ve never heard it before. As much as I love a lot of todays country artists, the old classics like the ones mentioned in this song really speak to my heart. My dad raised me on them. As early as 3 or 4 yrs old I remember sitting on the sink, watching him shave and singing “Your cheating heart” by Hank Williams Sr. And my last memory of him was him singing those words again as he was dying. And even though he could barely speak due to his illness, he got them out. 💔💗 you should definitely check out Hank Sr and read about his life. He died of alcoholism at just 29 yrs old. I love that you are really finding your appreciation for country music both new and old! ❤ Also John Anderson is a good one to check out too!

I knew I recognized the Belamy Brothers' name. Because I didn't really follow country music for much of my early life, I do remember a Bellamy Brothers song from the mid 1970s. I just saw a video, might have been a performance on a TV show in 1976, of their Country/Pop/Rock song "Let your love flow." Still a good song.

Sebs, the lyrics & visuals are working in famous artists with their songs … the part about Jolene show a billboard of Dolly Parton who sang it, or the reference to Patsy Cline includes the title of her song Walking After Midnight. This is a song that bit by bit can lead you to artists & songs and inside jokes, etc. This song has lots of layers to explore!

There is still good traditional country around. But a lot of the new stuff isn't as mature as the old stuff. Real world lyrics about real world problems and experiences type music for "old men". Great song about the history of country music for someone fairly new to the genre like yourself. Loving the reactions! - Everett

Here in Hot and too sunny California, we no longer get the classic country radio stations. So sad, this music is my driving jam as well.

Have to check out Let Your Love Flow by them! It's always good to hear The Bellamy Brothers after all these years. Thanks for reacting to them.

There are so many artists they mentioned in this song that you need to react to. George Jones, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and the singers of this song The Bellamy brothers and John Anderson. George Jones does a song called "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" about legendary artists who had passed.

I feel their pain as the old dudes they’re referring to were the ones I grew up listening to.

Definitely agree you should do 'Let Your Love Flow' and 'If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body' for more Bellamy Brothers songs.

Wow! I've been listening to country my whole life, but I've never heard that before. It was wonderful. Thank you Sebs, for sharing it with us.
