Agree free spinning pivot is slightly annoying but I find that they don't work loose as soon a d shaped ones do . Dig the Rant !

Ugh number 1 I'm not even through the explanation and I'm so hot about that! I was going to take apart a knife during my live and the pivot kept spinning and I wasn't about to get up and grab more tools... I was so mad about it lol

Hi man, italian EDC guy here, so i'm sorry for my patethic english. I hate free spinning pivots and prefere D shape pivots , yeah they are more easy to disassemble and make maintenance, but I find a pro on spinning pivots. Leaving aside the issue of ease of machination for the knife manufacturing company. I fidget a lot with my knives, probably I fidget more than I use them to cut, but over the years I have noticed that the free spinning pivots are less likely to loosen with sudden opening and closing. The D-shaped pivots, despite the loctite, however after a few weeks of using them I find myself having to adjust the pivot. With the few free spinning pivots I have in my collection, I rarely have to tighten them. So it's all up to the person who uses them, whether they prefer to have comfort during the maintenance phase or to have to adjust the pivot a few times.

Kizer catching stays? I cannot recall any recent Kizers without a D shaped pivot.

I hate knives with only one scale on the "show side". Hinderer, ZT, etc. I won't buy them, period. My vehicles are painted on all sides. My house is the same color on all sides. Would you buy a steak that was only cooked on one side? How about half-fried chicken? Well, the show side looks done! Anyone ever get married with half a ring? Who's ideas was one-sided knives anyway? If you hand me a knife with one scale, I'll tell you to take it back to your shop and finish your job. Thanks for the chance to vent!
