“Do not make me let you down” is the hardest fucking line. I had chills.

With this, Magneto has become my new favorite character for rightfully calling the people out for hatred of mutants like the X-Men who constantly risk their lives for both humans and mutants alike, yet he chooses to follow Professor X’s example instead of simple vengeance.

The writing has been brilliant in these first two episodes. Magnetos speech was incredible while Storms letter was very emotional. Storm losing her powers totally worked for me, given her connection to the team. Plus, when she does get them back, I expect it will be epic.

The script and voice acting in this show is SO on point. Magneto's speech, Storm's devastation at losing her powers. And the way they've managed to tweak the way this show treats 'those who are different' from what it was in the 90s to parallel today's society is superbly done.

I was admittedly on the fence about most of the old voice actors coming back, Wolverine in particular. But they've all been fantastic thus far.

In the Age of Apocalypse plot, Magneto and Rogue were married, she absorbed enough of his power to insulate herself from him so they could touch without activating her power, enough to have a son.

As someone whose only reference is the live action films. Middle aged, Ian McKellen and teenage? Anna Paquin, that was...unexpected to say the least.

I’m going to rewatch the last three minutes of this reaction FOREVER.

Seeing Magneto genuinely want to change for his friend was really powerful, especially with that speech, which, holy s*** , was an intense moment, and his final *"Don't make me let you down"* , total CHILLS! But watching Storm lose her powers was heartbreaking and devasting, especially since Storm is one of my favourite X-men and female superheroes. Her losing her powers was the equivalent of chemical castration, and seeing her mentally process it almost brought me to tears. That cliffhanger though! 🤯

Adam had a brilliant closing monolog ruined by lips 😂😂

Well good news Jay: "what are Storms powers?" Isn't something you need to worry about anymore!

I rewatched the first episode and in "Jean's" vision the eyes that appeared are the eyes of Jean, THE REAL JEAN so my theory is that the real Jean entered in Madelyne's mind I can't wait for episode three with even more lips 😂

Rogue once sapped the powers of Polaris, which cancels out Magneto's power. They have been together a couple of times in the comics, for example in the Savage Land story.

They get away with it by de-aging Erik a bunch of times. Y'know, since Rogue is a little older Kitty Pryde...

there is precedent of the magneto rogue relationship in the comics, there was a stint while they were in the savage lands that they were together, back then the explanation was that he could create a electromagnetic barrier around himself so thin that it would feel like she could touch him, all the while protecting him from her power, looks like they are going for a similar thing here.

Magneto said some things that would make a lot of people very uncomfortable if said in the real world, but would still be just as relevant and true to cultural history. The writing is very pointed and explicit, even in its subtext.

Im pleasantly surprised by how good the first two episodes were 🔥

Dude the soundtrack of this show is so fucking good, and those last 10 minutes was just stunning. Also rip gambit

I suspect that they are going to play out the Goblin queen story differently, like Madilyn has no idea that she is a clone or, and this was a random thought, from the vision in episode one that she said there is another and we see a little girl coloring, that maybe we have separated at birth twins and Sinister found this out and something happened during the phoenix story that Madilyn's mind was wiped and he replaced her then.

After the day that I had, this reaction made my day. Thank you guys, I really needed this.

This is probably the best video you guys have made. This is a comic book fan fiesta and Jay landing the lips call back is hysterical. You can see the idea hit him just before he says it and the absolute glee in the aftermath is bananas.

The fade out at the end was my favorite part. classic.

I love that in her first scene with Magneto, Rogue says three different southernisms about cats.

Such a good show that matured with the audience. Peak X-Men. I wonder if they are using this as a book-end palate cleanser from the Fox live action X-Men before integrating the X-Men into the MCU.

One of these days we're gonna get a video titled "Regretfully" where Adam tells us how much he's loved doing this but Jay has decided he's done with pReview'd. Jay will of course be mysteriously absent from the entire video, only respond to comments with his most iconic one-liners, and coincidentally be "lost at sea" one week later.

At this point Adam needs to channel Captain America at the beginning of Age of Ultron. "That's not going away anytime soon 😑". 😂

My god, this show is already on the edge of something truly great. Or the lip, if you will.
