What an amazing company. Awesome tour, thanks
So nice to see the shop that produced the many, many parts that I spec’d in during my career in electrohydraulic servo actuators. For 40 years now, Lee has been a superior supplier!

Amazing , Thank You
I'm really grateful for insights into these places. I'm not a machinist, but like looking how things are made and how do workshops look inside.

It’s incredible to see what these kind of facilities are capable of for sure!
NYC CNC has done some of the best machine shop tours on KZread, you can see how selective he was to find unique facilities/companies by watching his videos, now you are on the path of beating him on that, another great tour and amazing facility.

This guy is fuckin locked in. I love it
And I work in that "shop". Actually it is several buildings that are in this video.
I've specified and used many of their blanking plugs in some of the down hole completion equipment I've designed for the oilfield over the years. Exceptionally fine stuff! thanks for sharing, Ken

What a beautiful operation! Nice to know that people this meticulous are making parts for applications as critical and unforgiving as aircraft applications.

They certainly put a lot of thought into what they bring in!
The hydrogen furnace.. These must be some mixing of hydrogen and nitrogen at the curtain.. Sooo there'll be spent hydrogen / nitrogen mix at 2,000 F.. Now that's a fun thing to deal with, is it burnt to heat the process?
@JCDJCD13
10 ай бұрын
Yes a small amount of hydrogen does exit the process mixed with the nitrogen. The nitrogen then passes through a flame to burn off the excess hydrogen before it’s released into the atmosphere. It’s not used to add heat to the chamber, the chamber is heated with electric coils temperature controlled electronically.
Làm thế nào để có thể làm việc trong những nhà máy như thế này.tôi rất đam mê công việc này.
I would like to know what their tooling supplies cost.

I’m sure it’s not on the cheap end, but when you’re doing components that need to be right for safety’s sake, I’m sure the tooling pays for itself in spades!
Epic. The question is how are the holes actually made?

Yeah I was thinking about that too. And how that’s probably trade secrets far to sensitive to share on a KZread video. 🤷♂️ ? I was wondering if it was EDM or lasers, water jet ? It’s a really fascinating facility though.
@JCDJCD13

For some we use a wire mesh, for some we use a photo etched material, some are mechanically drilled, but most are made with Lasers. The specifics are a trade secret. Sorry….
