The interview you REALLY need to listen to, is Ren's interview with Zach Sang. You really get to see Ren, the human being, in that one. The interview is totally illuminating, insightful, engaging, heartwarming and entertaining. Much like Ren himself! :)

Was just coming to the comments to say the same thing!!!

Ren has 2 chronic illnesses, Lyme Disease and Mast Cell Disease, and a whole host of serious associated conditions and illnesses. He's in constant pain. At his worst he was pretty much bedridden, in chronic pain, on a severely restricted, liquid diet and unable to sleep properly, for 7 years! He's spent the last 14 months in a clinic in Calgary, Canada, undergoing a whole range of experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain.

Ren has been rapping and singing together since he was about 17 years old. He started out producing drum and bass at 13yrs old. He's a multi instrumentalist. Singer, songwriter, producer, and director. Makes most of his beats, and mixes and masters as well, but not on everything. He does all of those things at a high level. Ren lives and breathes music. He is the embodiment of music.

Zach interview is probably the best one as it covers his life, rather than technicalities of singing etc.

He plays piano, bass guitar, spanish guitar, electric guitar, drums, melodica and produces all his own music. Oh yeah, and directs or co- directs all his videos

I liked the Zach Sang & Justin Hawkins interviews... he finally explains the meaning of the pig in the Zach one.

Theres a youtube short on Rens Channel , that's titled "a day in the life of REN" where he shows you the 50 pills and IV stuff... yeah i was the one that said 50 pills lol Ren is the goat!

Actually, during extended bts if MG3 he said 100 pulse a day! 15 medications and the rest supplements.

We keep telling you, Ren does everything. There's nothing musical he can't do. Nothing.

That's what I said too. I will NOT watch a reaction to an interview. Too long, for one thing. I'm only a music reaction fan. I watch reactions 2 to 3 hours every night, and follow tons of reactors. I don't have time for movies or interviews reactions.

Ren does Everything and on top of that ren makes his own beats, beatboxs, play every instrument, sings, and raps!! Ren can freaking ACT as well!! "Suicide" and For Joe is a truthful beautiful song tribute to his friend Joe. Read rens comment pinned in his Suicide video for context/background.... those 2 songs should be in the same video or back to back. Tissues on standby tho.

Another excellent reaction! It was great seeing your eyes widen as you realized Ren has even more dimensions than you thought. 😊 His band, The Big Push, is yet another dimension worth exploring, especially their busking performances. I see that other Renegades here have made a few suggestions about which ones to check out, with I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip-Hop at the top of the list. But you can't go wrong with any of them!

I think the Zach Sang or Justin Hawkins interviews are better to get more background on Ren. Both Knox interviews are good but the older one is obviously their first sit down. In the second one they've already developed more of a friendship.

Nice reaction sir. Yes Ren is a legend in his own right. He has dropped a BTS (behind the scenes) of the making of this video on his patreon channel. A standout clip from the BTS is Ren sitting on a couch rehearsing his lyrics - with a drip in his arm. He is still undergoing daily treatment to restore his damaged immune system, while at the same time producing music with his small legendary team.

i’d be here to watch you react to ren interviews if you decide to do that, i’m constantly on the lookout for those but not many do them :/ totally up to you tho, most importantly is you watch them for your own sake cuz they bring a new level of understanding and admiration/respect for not only ren and his music but for ren as a wonderful human being :)

1st Knox interview 8 months ago. I would do Ren's more recent stuff then maybe sprinkle some other older songs. He's got a lot of deep sad songs that are always requested. Its up to you but I would sprinkle those too and not do them too close together. He's dropping a new one Thursday, a Nas retake. Definitely do that one when it comes out.

Lyme disease is easily killed with antibiotics IF you know you have it and immediately treat it., otherwise it is very complicated to treat, Ren was untreated for a very long time, thus the disease has caused a great deal of damage to his immune system I think and is complicated to treat. I am not a medical person, just am from the part of the U.S. where it is common (New England), have no idea how those damn ticks found Ren, traveling ticks, who would of thought.

They can be both... the look of absolute dignity, especially by the lady farthest from Ren, is an empowering message. And they got at least as much time on camera as Ren did. This wasn't Ren-with-helpers, they formed something greater than any of them by getting together 🙂

I personally don't think it's necessary to react to interviews. I mean, I definitely think you should watch them on your own, for sure. It will give you great insight into him. But I personally won't watch a reaction to an interview.

The only other person I can think of that's capable of doing these sorts of things is Ed Sheeran.

I love your reactions but I have one quibble: please stop refering to Ren as if he is a KZreadr. And interesting that you used Drake as an example of :"mainstrean" since Drake was the atist that Ren replaced at #1 on the UK charts in October. If you define mainstream as hitting the charts, well Sick Boi charted in the USA in addition to debiting #1 in UK, so he is already there.
