To me the ego is attached to everything & everyone outside of oneself. All kinds of emotions get thrown in the mix with this. For example, people are very concerned what others think of them. To have pure love for oneself, gives you peace of mind & detachment from the judgements of the world. When you allow yourself to love yourself, then you can feel the love from others & the Creator. If you don't trust yourself or abandon yourself, your heart will remain closed to others. A closed heart is the absence you describe. Without love life is empty.

Sublime as always....

The ego is an absence, and the obsolescence of desire. Never heard it so clearly but it was a conclusion looming and waiting to arise.

What I experienced was that God made the creation to go to sleep in the created (Us) as a way of escaping the totality of infinity and eternal loneliness. He manifested to bring about a sense of unity, community and love. And we are essentially the self soothing instrument of the creator. It is true that we are all one, but that is an infinite amount of loneliness without the separation (illusory self with a small S). No one wants to take the seat of the creater after he created and went into slumber.

Namaste: God withdraws His Light within which the void emerges and matter/maya can be formed. All that appears to exist is an expression of an Infinite Nothing. The paradox is this, whereas to the ego only things and the experience of the bodily senses have a value, to the Qualities of Spirit and Consciousness Nothing is an Infinite Value. Maya is contained within and an expression of Infinity, wherein is contained worlds of possibility. Essentially, the Infinite Light cannot be fully present for the material universe, of which ego is an aspect, to exist. A tipping point for the healthy egoic construct is the question, is this (maya) all there is? Now the 'return' to the Infinite Self can begin. A good question, is one charged with possibility. Who is going to stop and be still? Surely the act of doing something to be what you already are is just reinforcing the illusion. The idea that I can do anything to be what I already am is the root of the problem. Nothing to do and no one to do it, all is happening by itself without a doer and even without a localised perciever. Everything is nothing appearing real.

"There is no world" - this the knowledge of the absolute. "The world is dying" - this the proclamation of the relative mind. Where does the world exist? Only in the mind of the perceiver.
