Hell yeah I just got my nn skates 5x80 ufs and I mounted them on a new pair of the fr ufs boots that looks seek and runs very smooth.

Frootbooting is getting fancy

So so beautiful! I have been thinking of getting the dragon frames and wheels for a few months now. I'm between jobs at the moment so when I start earning again, this will be the first thing I treat myself to. I have black FR1's so will be the same setup but not as pretty as the red! Nice to have something to look forward to. Thanks for making this, nice to see you in front of the camera and also skating, really enjoying your content.

Thanks! In my local skateshop, they really went the extra mile to provide a nice boot in the right size. They even changed the original red laces to white ones 'because that would look better with white wheels'. Really appreciate that kind of service. The only pity is that I didn't have enough time the last couple of weeks to ride these beauties as often as I wanted to. 😅

That's awesome! But maybe check out my videos with the (more recent) NN Dragon+ as well. I like that frame even better than the original Dragon. 🙂

@@JungleSkater The original Dragon 80X and Dragon+ are similar, but different. The Dragon is a 5x80 frame (big fun), the Dragon+ has a 90-80-80-80-90 configuration (even bigger fun). The big front and back wheel provide some extra speed and stability. I've got the Trinity version of the Dragon+, so that means a low ride-height too. Love that frame. But some people don't like mixed frames with different wheel sizes. If you want to keep it simple, just go for the regular Dragon.

@@TheRollingRaptor Welcome Tim,this 5 x 80 is on my mental shelf,I bought the endless 90 which was ok but I found that I preferred 80/84 so ended buying the 80 endless also so this 5 x 80 will have to wait for me for a while.

@@WheelyArt Proof that there’s no size fits all. 😄 For me, a 4x80 is too short. I changed my two 4x80 setups with 3x125, and I used my trinity 4x80 to install an iceblade on my old fitness skates. The 4x90 was an unexpected revelation. What didn’t you like about the 4x90? Its length? I ask because the wheelbase of a 5x80 is 50mm longer than a 4x90.

@@TheRollingRaptor Not so much the length,I just prefer a lower ride height, I have a 42 micro MT plus boot and have been skating for a few months,with a bit of patience I would probably get used to the 90 wheels,I find the lower height is easier for learning,getting used to encountering obstacles etc,but I do like to experiment.

@@WheelyArt Yeah, that’s true. But as soon as your confidence grows, a 4x80 isn’t so much fun anymore - well, that’s how I experienced it. 😊 Experimenting is the way! 💪

V rocker or VM rocker? Trying to figure out if I want one… I have the same Red FR1 skate in 4x90. Awesomeness!

If you’ve got the 165mm version of the Dragon frame, you won’t need an adapter.

Will these fit Frx??? If so I’m buying

Absolutely beautiful 🤩. I recently sold my Dragons, but only because I have two other 5x80 frames. And overall I skated them a lot. How about the Evo wheels? Are they 86a?

Well, erm, I'm not rich, but I like to spend _all_ my money on inline skates rather than anything else. 🤦‍♂ Okay, I admit: I've had an extremely busy year, often working every weekend months on end, and the urge to spend the extra money I earned on rollerblades was overwhelming. (Making skating videos also doesn't help to keep myself in check.) But still: it's a choice. I rarely buy new shoes or clothes, our television is thirteen years old and my car has a couple of very ugly scratches that I don't care to repair. When we go out for dinner and I receive the bill, I often think: damn, this costs me half a pair of skates. That's the mindset I've got: I measure everything I earn and spend in skates. Last week, our dishwasher broke down and we had to replace it: I could've bought a nice setup for that money... I live in Flanders and everybody's crazy about cycling here. But a decent race bike often costs several thousands of euros. When I see those people on their expensive bikes, I pity them: once a week, they're riding around on a vehicle that's worth twenty great skating setups. 😄

I totally respect that... I'm 33 and I just started skating a year ago, and Im absolutely addicted. I can't wait to get my new NN Ronins. But I scoured the Internet to find a picture of them on the powerslide Next Boot. I know you have both these babies.. is it possible you send me a pic of the set up so u can see how it looks like? @@kevo88961 THANKS, MAN! 🙏 Really appreciate that. Funny: a couple of days ago, I was doubting whether to mount the Ronins or the Endless 100s under my Next boots. But in the end, I decided on the Endless frames. 😄 (The Zoom boot has got a tighter fit for my feet, which makes it better suited for wizard skating, while the Next feels more comfortable.) But I'll take a picture of the Next Ronin setup for you this week! 👍 (Do have some patience though, still got lots of things to do.)
