important is to set your zoom sensitivity right. I dont recommend it to stay on 100 , start with 50 and work upwards till it fits

With this technique though, I would personally start on 100 and work down rather than work up. But otherwise good advice

Unfortunately coefficient doesn't make all zoom levels feel the same and this is something that apply to all FPS games. What coefficient does, is it makes all zoom levels feel the same at specific flick but only regarding mouse/thumbstick movement distance you have to do to reach some point on your monitor at specific FOV - when using 100 coefficient, You are setting that at all FOVs, flick from the center of your screen to the edge (100% coefficient = 100% monitor distance from center to the edge), will need the same input, but You have to keep in mind, that at hipfire/x1 the edge of Your screen in game is further than at x4, and this makes higher zoom levels feel lower. Knowing that we can say that e.g. in BFV x1 will feel always the same regardless coefficient setting. From what I've have read, 0% is the best setting for building muscle memory, because You're set to the center of Your screen, and not some point on the edge or beyond - e.g. setting your coefficient to 178% means, that at all FOVs, you will have to use the same input to reach 178% of your monitor distance at specific FOV. Watch "Mouse Sensitivity - Monitor Distance Guide" to better understand how coefficient/monitor distance works. There are also videos on youtube proving that uniform soldier aiming in 2042 is working the same way, like it was in prevoius titles. What is wrong in this game, is overall input and probably the recoil implementation. Today Enders made interesting video about that.

A good explanation. The USA feeling different could have to do with the fov zooming being different than BFV maybe? Saw something at launch that the fov at zoom levels is totally off and different to what it was in previous titles. But my feelings tend to be off not shooting.

@@troymuni6120 Put your coefficient at 0 and spin in a circle. Then out it to max and spin a circle again, you will/should notice a difference.

lol! If you think aim on PC is messed up, you should try console. You can't even win a gun fight against a PC player. This needs fixed for balance. Closed beta player.

Coefficient is something I played around a fair bit when first moving to pc. I understand it’s to make your sensitivity feel the same/faster/slower as you go through different magnifications. But...when I set my coefficient at 0% my aim felt on a 1x so much crisper than if I’d set it at 178%. Only reason I haven’t stayed on 0% is higher zoom scopes was way too sluggish, and I couldn’t be arsed going through the individual settings for scopes lol

also remember with universal soldier aiming, your ads sensitivity will transition from your hipfire sensitivity gradually if you use a different sensitivty for ads than hipfire, instead of instant...to get instant turn both USA and ads sensitivity transition smoothing off...a lot of people dont know about this and it is a very prominent setting as COD and many other games have always been instant instead of gradual by defualt, people need to know.

That's not how USA works. It makes ADS with any scope the same. It has nothing to do with hipfire.

@@AlexT0210 read ads sensitivity transition smoothing setting, it says gradual ads sensitivity transition timing is applied to USA setting aswell by default as part of the procedural aim rate calculations or something to that effect, so you NEED, BOTH usa AND ads sensitivity transition smoothing off, to get instant ads transitions like in cod(2019) and mw2(2022), PERIOD, end of story...you simply are missing it all, because you don't read your settings with your eyeballs and frankly I don't know what your reading with but you should get it checked out, when you use USA, yes, it makes all scopes closer to the same sensitivity, BUT, if you use a different ads sensitivity from your hipfire it will GRADUALLY transition to that DIFFERENT ads sensitivity from the hipfire animation, NOT INSTANTLY, messing up your aim...

This got rid of the floaty feel of the aim. Thank you.

Does this also apply to BF5 for those who still play it like me? I know you used 177 in BF5. I feel the higher the coefficient on slower guns the better it can cqk( close quarters kill).

I didnt think the coefficient would make a difference in this game. In BFV i have it on 178 and its smooth for me but in this game my settings just dont work for it. Im new to the franchise in general so its good to have an understanding of what makes aiming smooth and what doesnt. Im a COD player so all these settings dont exist

Do you control recoil the same way as in cod? Because when i try to pull down on the aim stick to control the recoil the crosshair goes WAY down instead of steady control. Also how do you "flick" from enemy to enemy is there a specific way to do it and how? Noob here

Yeah I saw that recoil vid, there is still loads more to it though imo

There was recently an aiming bug discovered and DICE is looking into it. I knew this game felt off compared to previous bf titles but hopefully this can be fixed. Thanks for the video.

It's not aiming bug. There is an issue with recoil. Also, it wasn't DICE who discovered the bug that was in the game from day one, it was Enders abn his friend (forgot his name)

I am thinking Jordy that if the aim is a bit fast using 100 coefficient, why not drop the coefficient down to 90? God knows I have tried everything. I win a lot of Gun fights but unless I have at least a 40 magazine, I'm gonna get dropped by the 3rd player running with the players I just knocked off

Not sure, I use controller on PC as well (PS5 Controller). I know it sounds dumb, try turning raw mouse input on if you haven't already

I feel like nothing matters on the PS4 controller, high sensitivity makes it unreal to aim, and low sensitivity makes it unreal to turn around. 😢

Try Battlefield bad company 2 settings you can use high sensitivity and still be slow enough to aim better.

I played about 1000 ofs hours all battlefield games on pc with mouse and keyboard. cause my pc is so slow I ve tried it on my ps5. my iam is so bad. even not moving enemies are difficult to hit for me. I tried so much settings to surrender and now iam sad

can’t find coefficient setting

I always had 133% but idk man this game is driving me crazy. I tried your current one with 121% and I had better results , it felt smoother ( I play with both sensitivities set on 100%) But after 2 days something will feel inconsistent again idk if its placebo or what. Did u also.have it 133% on bf5?

178% on BF5, then changed to 121% and didn't really notice a difference. 2042 is just hella weird

Aiming will get better for everyone once Dice fixes the bug currently causing recoil control to be the worst I've ever seen. This fix might even make it into the next patch even though they only learned about it a few days ago. Everyone thinks it's controller input but if you test it yourself, fire 20-30 rounds w/o controlling the recoil, then start pulling down to control it, there's a wall of resistance there.

It has been worst. Especially with scopes it’s unplayable since 3.1.

As a console player i have no other choice but to play sniper and only sniper if i want a good k/d and help my team . Theres no way I can do something with an assault rifle or smg againts a pc player.

@@Jordy1-1 if you have the Armour X Pro you can use gyro on any game. I was surprised and how quickly you could move the cross hairs with a thumb stick.

On higher zoom scopes like 4x, it will be a little different. But for the red dot I have found it to be the 'closest' feeling to BF5.

it will feel different because in 2042 there are different zoom levels in comparison to bfv - the more zoom you'll be using, the more difference you'll notice but in overall mathematically 100 makes more sense than 178 and 0% even more but use a setting that you feel the best

This is not a "fix" at all. All uniform soldier aiming does is make ZOOM sensitivity feel the same no mather what magnification scope/sight you use. With the coefficient you can adjust this a bit.

The problem is, that it doesn't "feel" the same. My red dot feels nothing like my 4x when the coefficient is 178. For example, when I change my coefficient from 178 to 133 it shouldn't affect my zoom sens a massive amount like it does. Otherwise there is literally no point in having a zoom sensitivity. Considering zoom sensitivity is meant to be a percentage of your normal sens. I still think something is wrong with the coefficient, and this for me and I know many others is somewhat of a fix

@@jortepap My 1.25x red dot feels completely different at a 133 coefficient to a 1.25x sight in BF5 with the exact same settings. Also to add to that, if I set my sens to 80 and zoom sens to 100, then have USA on at 133, and ads with a 1.25x, why is it faster than my hipfire?

Facts, I'm suffering in this game !!!!

Pc player don't get nearly that much accuracy at that distance, to me that looks damn near close to aimbot at that distance. I do consinder myself an above average player with thousands of hours on battlefield on PC and console. If you put any pc player against you atvthat distance with the same guns, i bet your recoil control alone is way more op than just having a mouse and keyboard.

Aim still feels so weird. Makes the game not as fun for me.

@Jordy1-1 something is strange with the response curve or aim acceleration. If i play apex on linear 0 response curve with 0 dead zone I get decent stick drift. Bf2042 with 0 aim acceleration and 0 dead zone I get no stick drift. Maybe that's why aiming still feels "jumpy" and just not very smooth. Thanks for the reply!

@@Jordy1-1 That made about as much sense as inverting vertical look for flying but nowhere else...this would drive me insane. I always invert. I've also never heard of anyone doing that L2 for jump mapping before, but if it works for you that's great. I just can't imagine many other players using those. It's a lot easier to swap L1 and L2 across the board if you're stuck using a stock PS controller. I've got a few Battlebeavers with the mouse clicks and increased analog tension so I just leave it alone.

@@troymuni6120 Loads of people on the cod community and BF competitive use either L1 or L2 to jump. Generally called bumper jumper. I've L2 because i have L1 and R1 as aim as i've been playing fps game for years and that's what it used to be. If you have Battlebeavers then yeah you don't need to do that. And invert flying is something that im also just used to it at this point from old flying games

I also had a video from release do extremely well and that seemed to have alot of positive feedback, so I decided to do an updated video. Like I said in another comment, its obviously won't help everyone, but I don't get the "not making sense" part at all

And if you are a terrible player: use assist. Good players don't need it.

Sensitivity isn't different, just input delay is. I play the exact same sensitivity on console

vertical sens is fukin insane 😁 i cant hit shit 😁

My question is how do you fix stick drift it's sooooooo irritating when I'm trying to go long range er even controll my aim for those sweet tight spot, and I don't want to buy a new controller because the one I have right now I only 1 year old, and I have opened it up and cleaned everything, even the thing in the analog stick system, it helped kinda, but I just don't know what to do.😔🫡

Just keep doing what your doing with the cleaning, otherwise you have to replace the part yourself if you know how to do it etc. Otherwise you would have to buy a new controller
