I just had two days, where I was allowed to pick anything I wanted, cause they cleaned her grandmother's house. Much for my personal use, some things for my neighbour and so much stuff for the next 2 or 3 flea markets! They were so thankful for me saving all these things from trash/dumpster. Had to share this with you quickly ;)

Pick of the day was the cart. I had an industrial cart from when my parents owned a restaurant supply business. Then I used it in my classroom for many years. We brought it home when I retired. We sold it not long after that.

Tote Man came through for us! He wheeled it out right by me, like it was a little gift!

The Peanuts stuff would have come home with me! In the beginning of the video all the fabric would have been made into Peanuts quilts!

Who cares about a heatwave, when the Tote Man has arrived... Just beat the heat, and enjoy his merchandise. 😉 Seems that the previous owner of some of these books was highly interested in military history, a lot of them are good sellers on ebay. Some pretty neat finds today, a little bit of everything. I knew that you would like to be "Guest of the Emperor", though the historical background wasn´t funny at all. Mukden (todays Shenyang) was the former capital of the Chinese province of Manchuria. Interesting book ! I was just a bit tired, running on 4 hours of sleep. But when you are given the chance to cool off in a pool and get some night swimming in with your family, you stay up late! Haha. Night swimming was always seen as such a big deal when I was little, as if my cousins & I were so daring being in the pool at 10pm at night. Then we'd top the night off by toasting some marshmallows over a little fire and home we went. Childhood summers were great!

We were going to see if we could find one at an estate auction, but the Tote Man had other plans! Perfect that the handle folds down, just what we needed!

When you asked "What would you get from the Tote Man?" I said "I'd get those Neutrogena wipes" and then you picked them up. Great minds..

I would look for miniatures,because they are so expensive . Some things are hundreds of dollars. I have about 25,000 in my dollhouse. It's 5 feet long.

You really need that cart. It will be great not to have to look all over the storage places for one or wait for one to be available. It brings me such joy to see you save things like labels. I think things like that tell amazing stories. You are in my top 3 favorite channels.

Great find on the cart. A friend of mine was throwing away his just because it was a little bent on the bottom. I took it and have used it for years. My neighbors stop by often to borrow it -- it's such a great and handy little cart. So happy you got one. Yay. You need to get a jukebox now and a whole lot of 45s

When we needed a trolley to move our furniture restoration and upcycling projects about we couldn’t find one the right size, so we acquired a freebie wooden pallet, attached some chunky castors underneath and added strips of carpet remnant to the top (helps prevent the furniture getting scratched and from sliding about when you move it). Still going strong.

The bag of labels may be from mail bags. The old cloth type. They had a metal latch with a slot to insert the destination label.

Hello Renee. And how are you hon? You look tired and I’m sure the heat is just draining you. I get so worried for you. You need a neck towel, the ones you get wet and it helps keep you cool. I got my husband a few a year ago and he is a welder he says they help him so much in the heat. Your buy of the day is the cart for sure . So smart of you. "Shepherds of the Sea" a book about destroyer escorts in world war ii. My father served on a destroyer escort in WW2. I did not know about this book. I immediately went on Ebay and ordered it. Thanks for telling me about it!!!

that blue cart you got is very like the one I had, but mine was a little longer. Super useful for moving, as in cleaning out storage units!

I would have bought the history of WWII and other books. I really enjoy watching you go through totes. The tote man is always a fun pick.

Some great stuff for junk journaling!

Buying a cart marks a career watershed! You guys can paint it and put your logos on it. I made one a few years back but all four wheels swivel. I used some large pneumatic casters I go for cheap at a yard sale but they don't hold air too well. I have to pump them up every time I use them, just so the cart can go wherever it wants when I'm pulling it. See how much you save when you build things yourself! I almost had an article published in "Air Classics" years ago when I had ambition. I had already had it accepted by "Warbirds International" (I submitted to a bunch of publications) but unfortunately the previous month the two magazines had inadvertently put the exact same photo on their cover and Air Classics didn't want any more embarrassing overlap. Probably not really cool to have it published in 2 places at once but I didn't know. Hope the POW book is interesting. Have you read, "The R*** of Nanking," by Iris Chan? From the '90s, I think. But this 26 yo woman published the history of the horrendous Japanese occupation of Nanking, China which was previously little known. Unbelievable. Unfortunately the instant success, pressure to produce more and speaking schedule significantly affected her mental health. Have a great Tuesday - the most productive day of the week, apparently -and stay out of the heat. One thing I always think of on hot, humid, rainy or damp days is that the ephemera, furniture, photos, knick-knack, etc. we find existed for most of their lives with no protections from any of this. And yet so much survives. Still, thanks goodness for climate control.

Despite the elements & lack of protection, much does survive & thankfully continues to survive! As I was rolling the cart to my car, I thought "What if a wheel rolls right off? What's the Tote Man's return policy?" Haha. Taco Stacks was happy when I told him, now we just need to try it out at a storage auction! That's the first time I have come across "Air Classics"... too bad your article hadn't been published, maybe it would have been in one of those! I did read the Nanking book when I was in college for a class. Fortunately, the professor at the time had us read it more for discussion and understanding, versus the usual read & test. I had two professors that really taught history in a way that wasn't just about dates & names. I've always been grateful for that.

I have one of those carts, also bought at an auction/sale. I love that thing, it has came in handy so many times, especially when something is to heavy for me to carry into my house. You had good luck finding more things.

I have three of the blue carts at the antique mall I share with other booth vendors. They have hauled tons of stuff and keep on going. Mine were from Harbor Freight. I loved the postcards.

The labels might be from USPS. If the addresses are for places that might receive large volumes of mail. They would be for identifying their mail tubs. Maybe not, just thought they looked familiar. Great FM finds, stay cool 😎

I live in louisville , Kentucky .. we wanted to go up north to the Great Lakes where it is usually cooler.. go north we said - it will be cooler . . Sooo we visited Cleveland Ohio around Lake Eerie where my dad grew up . Wrong !! It was just as hot there - we were sweating . Crazy. .

Practicality rules the day - and day it is. They don’t like those early mornings any more.😢 Not much in the totes . Looked through. Not much art, invention. Creativity. To analyse, look through.
