There's more chance that he was choked up from her trying to tell him earnestly how proud of him she was, which he shut down almost immediately. I think he used the DD story to deflect from that. I've got a similar mindset to Sean, and I find it impossible to accept a compliment without diminishing my part in it. It's not low self-esteem exactly, but maybe knowing your true insignificance in the grand scheme. A hard unbringing can teach you that. Keeping your feet on the ground requires keeping your ego under control. Like Connor McG couldn't.

Found out Nina's channel yesterday and i'm binging every single video. The most naturally funny person on youtube, hands down. Also, women these days could take a page out of her book. You don't have to take yourself too serious and be arrogant; you can be funny, goofy, and still be beautiful. In fact, she shines because of that. There is a reason that so many men love her content. Yes, she is stunningly beautiful and that helps tremendously. But it's her easy going personality that gives her that x-factor. Such nice vibes. Loving every single video.

1:06:04 “…our population doesn’t have an internal voice…” Nina’s statements pertaining this this quote are super insightful, and I could not agree more. As contemporary humans, we definitely seem to have a critical lack of understanding about who we are ourselves. And this is really bad. Because it essentially means that whenever there is an internal problem, we have no diagnostic criteria by which to assess, and therefore fix that problem. And so the problems with our personalities can easily compound, and make life relatively difficult for individuals- especially pertaining to relationships with other individuals.
