Instead of disabling chat for everyone why not make it an option to turn off chat for the individual. That will make both parties happy. But that makes too much sense.

2042 is such a cold detached experience without all chat. And it wasnt all insults either, i made friends thanks to it.

I think all chat is more salty on PC than console. Console players don't have time to sit there for ages selecting letters to make one small sentence.

Love how the teammate aren’t even cheering that they have a good teammate they just hate you

Those moments where you sacrifice yourself and actually cause the tide of battle to change and allow your team to win the game, like bailing out over their last spawn and calling in a V2 so that the team can finally push in and win the game, are what makes Battlefield games so addicting.

I play with mostly all military people so this stuff doesn’t effect me at all the stuff I hear at work and jokes these lil game chats kinda funny to me

Toxicity in multiplayer videogames always existed and it's part of what made them fun, they shouldn't just remove something this important like that and you shouldn't shield people from reality. That and most of toxicity happens on the same team and team-chat still a thing so you didn't fix the 'problem'... CS players can vouch for that.

I’m playing battlefield five right now and it’s so much more fun I don’t even have battlefield 2042 and I no battlefield five is way better.

I get why Game chat is gone from Battlefield 2042, but they could've at least left it in, only for Squad chat, for what ever game you're playing.

Who needs chat lol. Im on xbox, from time to time i got personal rage messages but its ok, not a salty chat every fuckin game.

I can't aim worth shitt that's why I don't play multiplayer a lot cuz I'm simply not good nobody really to teach me good Aiming

And just so you all are aware, KD means nothing...even more so in Battlefield games. If you have a High KD in Battlefield it only means you spend a lot of time in vehicles compared to being just infantry. Granted you could have a high KD being infantry player if you have a good squad and team who are going to revive you and actually play their role as a medic. Back in BF3 in Grand Bazaar I joked before the match started with my squad that I'm going to be MVP and never fire one bullet. Sure enough everyone was in my box asking me WTF after. (New battlefield players lol them call of duty kids) Literally on B flag all I did was jump from storage unit to storage unit reviving everybody and I mean everybody that went down, turned around with a firing squad on both ends of the alleyway me bouncing around through a hail of bullets going from body to body reviving people and never firing a bullet... Needless to say I was one of the first people to max out their assault class lol and from my experience anybody with a 6-7-8 Plus KD it means they know what they are doing in the air. And from my experience... Dave isn't a hacker. No aim bot or wall hacks. Never once did I sus this dude's videos.

You filtered over BF5’s filter. How soft are you, whew.

I went back to BF5 when free on PS+ with 6 friends from old BF4/1 days who hadn't bought 5. Funnily enough, tons of games with pilots 149k 0d, 125k 0d, who wiped out AA on spawn just made it ZERO fun. They left within a week and as player count shrank and finding these pilots topping by 100+k and more and more players leaving mid game I eventually gave up. You're the best pilots in Battlefield but to point where its like playing single player on easiest setting! When does not dying or getting 100+K with 5d get boring? Maybe playing only as pilots hours at a time maybe just exacerbated issues but you fucking killed the games I tried to play, you emptied servers. Great 👍 Maybe when you're 100 and 0 grab a gun OR play Ace Combat, play Air Wars with other great pilots.... The shocking thing for me is still doing it game after game after game after game when u can see servers emptying...it's zero challenge so at what point do you fancy a challenge or get bored of 100+ kills to 0? Don't bitch too hard at 2042 because some of the BS changes were because they could see what made players leave servers and ultimately leave game. So don't let same players into next server in case it was shit, give every character airborne missiles, whatever stops the BS. Its no wonder DICE want 20 rocket launchers to every aircraft after the aircraft based shitshow that killed BF5 to far too many new or returning players....

All chat had either political arguments or it had hackusations, or it at least had the very least 'your mom' trains. It's beautiful if not toxic, can see why they removed it for 2042, but it removed any sort of comms to team and enemies.

What is in game chat good for anyway? Just raging after dying? You are playing an intense FPS game which needs split second decisions and you want to type on your keyboard the same time??? You only need VOIP with your squad mates. Chat with enemy players just encourage rage. Not needed, but if you love raging and being an a$$ just let it be in the game if we can turn it off. I would let you have fun if that is what you call fun. Thank god chat is non existent on consoles.

I love 2042 idk why so many people don’t like it, it’s broken in hilarious ways and it’s a lot better since launch
