We have no central air conditioning in Sunnyvale. Usually it’s not that hot but we had been having record heat wave during that time. I do use portable A/C units around the house just not in the living room.

Not this version. You're going to want to look into the Wifi version (which I have not tested). If I get my hands on one, I'll definitely be showing those features.
How easy or difficult is it to add to your home WiFi? I just returned an AcuRite Iris 5-in-1 because it was way too difficult and their customer support is nonexistent. All they go to address a question is to send you digital copies of the manual that’s too difficult in the first place.

Mine was not Wi-Fi enabled so unfortunately I can’t say. They offered to send me an updated Wi-Fi model but I didn’t accept the offer at the time. I will reach out again.
