    As Rat said, for new players you probably want 3x the chaf you think you do!

    Great match, agree with you on the elite wasps. 4 elite wasps (maybe lvl 2 drops even) + energy shield would have been a nightmare for blue.

    The crawler's on steelsane's flank in round 9 weren't to flank and do damage, but to try to read vulcan incendiary bombs from steelsane and make them shoot the incendiaries uselessly to the side.

    Yes, you've been sleeping on HE stormcallers, plus they were buffed last patch. They're great for both chaff and medium sized units. Edit: I was mistaken on the buff. It's still good even without the buff though.

    Obviously their anti-giant capabilities suffer, but the faster you clear the chaff the faster you can kill giants.

    Oh, and it's a great way to blast away shielded fangs if you don't want to use flame rounds killing off your own crawlers.

    Just picked up this game the other day and have been getting quickly addicted to it. Been watching your videos for some info-tainment. Only thing I can't seem to figure out right now is the amount of supply you get each round. Is it based off of your Specialist pick at the start of the game, or is it something else?

  • @CobStrategy

    @CobStrategy

    Ай бұрын

    Your Specialist pick CAN influence the supply get get, e.g. if you pick Supply Specialist for the extra 50 per turn. However this is the exception! You get 200 starting supply, then gain 200 more every turn, so 200, 400, 600, 800, until by round 10 you you get 2000. Any supply you don't spend gets carried over into the next round as well, as an FYI :) Hope that helps man!

    Thank you. It seemed like I was seeing some people get more per round, but it must have just been leftover from the round before if the only exception is Supply Specialist. Appreciate the info.

    Played for the first time last night from 12 to 5am. What a great game. Very interesting mechanics and units etc. do I really need much chaff at all? I was using phoenix and arc light and then marksman until I got Vulcan or the mini flamethrower one. Skipping chaff mostly and adding higher end units and aerial.

    So chaff serves a couple purpose in the game. Obviously they perform as a unit dealing dmg to other units, they can be used as a distraction against single target units or they can draw the enemies armies into a position that better suits you. For instance placing a single crawler unit as a flank will likely end up with them dying rather quickly b4 doing any dmg, however your goal of placing a single crawler unit as flank might be to draw units away from the main army, allowing your big army to deal with 2 smaller groups now bc the untis moved to intercept the flank crawlers. Now your opponents army can be easier to deal with bc you're dealing with smaller packs of units rather than the whole of the army. Idk, if you've ever played the game Clash Royale, there is a mechanic attributed to placing units on the other side of the lane where untis are coming from bc the enemy units will re-target and then chase your units moving away from your base towards his while your towers are free to rain arrows on anything and everything being distracted by your well placed unit to drag hostiles away from their target. Are chaff units the best in game, no...not even close...however their ability to distract or to pull units into positions that allow your units to easily manage 2 smaller groups of untis rather than 1 large army. They certainly have uses...a lot surprisingly...experiment a little with the *small but many* units and you'll quickly realize why chaff is pretty essential for a well rounded army. Have fun and good luck

    Nah. One per scorpion, preferrably with level 2 upgrade and they tank for the other squads like sledgehammers and balls that would normally get one shot. Give them repair tech and they pretty much permatank scorps unless the scorps have a massive level advantage. A lot of people haven't been running emp on marksmen and phoenix since the war factory nerfs, but even if they did it's still important to chaff manage well enough that the main dps does their thing. Plus sabertooths absolutely chonk balls (their aoe is large enough to often kill 2 at a time) and giants since they're basically fortresses guns for 50% off.
