Great review! And I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel. How awesome to see a woman in tech - my daughter loves you now! We gave her Max for Christmas but haven’t gotten up the courage to build him yet.

YAY I JUST FINISHED BUILDING MINE! I only took 3 days to finish so I’m pretty happy ! In my opinion I think that the tires were the hardest it was kinda complicated for me because I’m 11 but I love the results!

Thanks so much for this vid! I wasn’t familiar with Max and was psyched to see this just before Christmas and then was able to find Max locally on Christmas Eve day. It’s been the household hit so far! (Even with many hours of construction) Many thanks and happy holidays!

We just built it last night. Definitely took longer than we thought but once my 10 year old was close to being done he said i'm so glad we had to build this makes you appreciate it. so worth it and best Christmas present ever.

Great review! I bought MAX two days ago and have been taking my time after work to assemble him a little at a time. This is definitely a parent child project. Lots of little pieces and a good project to spend lots of one on one time with your kid. Like the way you added S.T.E.M. into the review! Good building and code learning with a technology that is timely and will be used more and more in the future. Artificial Intelligence is the way we are going weather we really want to or not. Look how cell phones have evolved and you'll have an idea of where this technology is going. Can't wait to power MAX up!

yes... well kind of. i have one and although i love it, it can't really do much. For example if you wanted to make a delivery you have to stand p, bring it to the place you want it to go and roll its wheels back to the place where your sitting and then press some buttons and then it will do it and that will take longer than just getting it yourself! Also it cant get to the table unless you put it up there and then how would he get down. Do you see what i'm saying, yes it is great but it can't do much. Also its wheels... OMG they squeak on my floors SOOO loudly so if you have hard wood or tile floor get ready to block your ears. But that might just be for me.

I have MaX and we r upset cause We were in process of packing and moving to new home and his charger got lost so vent got to enjoy MAX yet!! But loved putting him together!!

I just purchased one tonight. I do wish that is had more functional arms like the Mechanoid, but I chose it for the intelligence, I;m the proud owner of an Anki Vector and the Autonomous daily functions of Vector are priceless. My next robot will be the Segway Loomo.

I’m having the same problem. Picked up a new model at the thrift store. One youtuber said they had luck using Microsoft computer with an older operating system.

Yeah I just pick one of these robots up brand new for like twenty bucks. I put him together but everytime I try to download his brain it's tells me that his brain is not connected even though I have them plugged in

Is that how you pronounce Meccano? I've always said it like meh-can-no not mecha-no.

It’s a lot easier to build than the meccanoid xl 2.0

For me it was a day

It looks us 4hours even more I will say but it's pretty cool just annoyed cuz we can't seem to get it to walk

I saw on another video that the problem is there are several sizes of screws and if you use up the long ones in the beginning when it actually required a smaller size, it may cause you some issues. Part of the reason it takes others longer is because they have to go back and undo some steps to get the correct screw size in. Hope this helps! I'll be setting up my M.A.X. next week.

I’ve heard It takes 8 hrs to assemble.
