It really shows how they perceive the relationship between you - it’s not just food, for Cutie, Bram (& most likely the others too!) it’s a social event. In a world filled with potential hazards, hardships & dangers, you aren’t just some “silly giant” throwing food away, you’re their friend, their ally, their comfort, their safety net. They care about you! It’s a beautiful thing to witness 🤗♥️🐿

It puzzles me when some people decry animal intelligence, believing they have no cognitive thought processes. What Cutie and Bram are doing here indicates a cognitive thought process. They want more than the food which is already available......they want to see their human friend as well.

I miss my Fang!! He hasn't showed up for months but I have three new young squirrels who have come to visit!! Fang was a very special and intelligent squirrel!! I hope he knows how much I loved his friendship!! ❤
