That laugh track, Christ. This is so weird, it's like I fell into an alternate timeline.

FunFact: The Ratchet used in The Odd Couple was it's actually his first design ever showed. This strange looking Ratchet without eyebrows and darker browny skin appears in the "The Adventures of Ratchet and Clank" trailer, the one with Novalis being attacked during "night". So.. even if the folder on the disc says "27/09/02", maybe this flash game was made way before the first R&C even went Gold, early 2002 I think, probably. And, I don't think Insomniac was this involved with the making of this little flashy game, It's so silly, strange and bizzare even for OG R&C standards. I can't even find anything about Random Media.

I doubt Random Media is an actual thing, my guess is a couple of employees or interns got bored one day during development, grabbed what assets they could, made a really elaborate shitpost, went under the alias "Random Media" and by some unholy grace Insomniac let it go gold

Holy shit I remember this, damm this is old. There was also a web flash game for jak2 and jak3 at the time. Don't know if sly had one, but I remember there being a link for it. I honestly thaught some of it was a fever dream, because I remember telling my friends about it and them thinking I was absolutely mad. Thinking back of how things were back then, this doesn't seem all that weird.

Oh my god that Ratchet and Clank website menu awakened fucking DORMANT memories that would have never seen the light of day otherwise. Probably looked at in between playing the demo and getting the retail game. "the odd couple" feels like before its time shitposting.

A bizarre element lost to time i'm sure. Thanks for bringing up footage of the gadgets website. I fondly remember going on my dad's XP machine back in the day to play around this website and experience the content. I love Ratchet and Clank and own some of the old demos from their E3 days and love comparing this old skool pre-release stuff. Well done

Hi. Im one of the people that found this game, and seeing you mention entering the gadgets site is really cool. Is it possible you still have access to that old hard drive or a backup? If so, the gadgets websitr could be recovered

Omg. I played the flash games back then as a kid! Tried to restore them but only found the first and was only able to restore it partially. Great to see its still around. And that shooting stand game. Man oh man I tried so hard to find it. This must be the first time I'm seeing it again after idk...2006???

I remember a website as a kid (around 2006) with preview games like this... but they never added the 2nd (or 3rd?) game to it. I remember looking even a few years later (2008-2009) and it still said "coming soon".

Well, that is definitely... different context for the Pokitaru Infobot line.

Literally says in the intro credits that they got licencing rights for Darth Vader. Taxi Driver I guess is protected by the right to make parodies of things.

Insomniac has always been at least a little off their rockers but... wha?? And why register Darth Vader for just a second long cameo, not even in the final game, but on the obscure forgotten website even??
