I'll be getting the XP WS6 Headphones, a coil and lite shaft without the control box. Puts the Deus II in my price range of around $800-$900 dollars.

I had a 9" coil pre-ordered for a long time before I pulled the trigger on the full d2... I was going to do the same thing! I might eventually sell the control box... I think the ws6 is a great little setup so far 👍 I am fairly certain I can still use the machine underwater as long as the wire runs up and out of the water to transfer signal to the ws6... but gonna have to test that out

.925 means the same as Sterling Silver.

I'd need a 3-day class to set up some of these new detectors ..LOL

I have this, great but the lower shaft is shocking, flexy as hell.

SU = Silver Unlimted, they were a silver supplier at one point. I think they are now defunct 925 = silver purity as we all know IN = likely means Inlaid which would account for the flimsiness of the piece. Regardless nice hunt always awesome to pull jewelry ( and multiples on this one) at a park as you wade through all the foil, pull tabs, and can slaw.

I've been thinking recently of getting a DeusII, But I'm just afraid it's out of my skill set range. It just looks so incredibly technical and complicated! I watched a couple of videos from people who have mastered the DeusII, and their recommendations were to just stick to the basic programs initially until you get used to the metal detector, and then start probing into the more advanced options and menus. What do you think?

It's not too bad unless you really deep dive into the settings and even then... pretty similar to other machines settings just named differently + a few extras (for example "reactivity" is just like recovery speed) I'm able to navigate through settings out in the field pretty easily but so far most of the time I have been sticking to general programs with just a few tweaked settings. It's definitely possible to just turn it on pick a setting and get diggin'
