I am glad everything is better now and that the manager took care of the issue and that you were able to get an air purifier to help keep the air quality higher for your son~

Its so damn frustrating! I live in a duplex apartment and the people under me always smoke and they are too lazy to go outside. Its against our lease. I HATE smelling like smoke!!!

I'm glad the smoking issue stopped, the air purifier will be great even without the smoking for you & little one. I hope things continue to look up, you two deserve the best

That's honestly great to know that you're apt manager got the problem solved, honestly I'm surprised! I was worried they wouldn't do anything about it because that's usually my experience, but I'm glad you have a responsive landlord! It definitely helps that other people have had issues as well, good to see your neighbors are on your side! Having the air purifier is a nice thing to have no matter what so it's still good to have, but even better that you don't have to depend on it for the smoke smell! At least it will help with dust, allergies, or other smells since you have such a small space, but regardless of that I'm happy you don't have to deal with the smoke issue anymore!

Yumi I had a very bad headache the other night. And you were talking about your son's rest. I have some more suggestions for you. And these are tried and true.. Not only was I a certified nanny. But I also work for President Bush senior and President Clinton's personal advisor. 4 years.. And I lived with them for a year. I am an herbalist. As well.. 26 years. Tryptophan is the lightest brightest amino acid out there. It helps us taking the available sunlight to make melanin melatonin and D3. 20 minutes of sunlight is very important. Not just on our skin, but as well within our eyes.. warm candle light, the warm glow light. Fire light. The yellow warm golden hue light. That will actually help you trigger Your melatonin production. This is what helps you rest. Deeply... It also helps set your circadian clock.. Warm chicken broth bone broth. As well as, chicken meat, turkey as well. Chicken has more tryptophan then turkey does.. I would poach an egg, in some warm chicken broth. The egg yolk as well as that chicken broth is so important.. cholesterol is used in everything in our body. 63% of our blood cell is made up of cholesterol. Cholesterol from an egg yolk can be used immediately to make pregnenolone, regulates all hormones in our body. It is our number one steroidal sexual hormone. It helps set the pace of all other hormone production as well. Whenever you think of a neurotransmitter and a hormone a lot of people think these are separate but actually these are used in various ways by our body.. 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. That's a good time for him to wake up. I know it's tough... At that age. It's good.. Realize that you just walked into your new situation. Instead of walking him in a stroller to get him to trigger to sleep. Make a little routine. I will never forget whenever my mom took away my stroller. And let me tell you. When nap time was present I was out. After lunch brush your teeth. Little lavender lotion. Calming. I love soft classical music. Chopin is my favorite.. baby Mozart is absolutely awesome as well.. You will start getting into a set routine. It's repetitive routine that helps guide him. You are Mama. And when Mama says time to lay down quiet nap time. If you do certain things it will truly help guide him to that perfect sleep schedule.. sometimes we can get frustrated. Because little one doesn't want to do that. That truly means he has pent up energy in his body. A good walk. Where he walks. Physically. Salmon. There are ways that you can make salmon so delectable. For a little one. Cream cheese. Salmon has good omegas. As well as magnesium. Magnesium within all of us is extremely low. And that's because how they have been taken care of the soil within pesticides. Certain salts. As well as mono cropping deplete the soil. Magnesium is high within avocados that's another reason why he could be craving them. Magnesium helps the body relax. Helps digestion. Helps rest. Epsom salt baths before bed. This is key to helping the body relax. And, The body knows to shut off whenever it's had enough magnesium. It's one of the safest ways to relax the body and intake magnesium.. sea salts. Now. Since you have limited space. And if he is fully walking. It's time to let those little legs walk. Even if it's a few blocks up and a few blocks back. Get a nice tether. I say just for your and his safety. So he's tethered to you. Because I have seen individuals try to grab strollers children. If he's latched to you. You have him.. I wore one on my son. A few individuals laughed at me, and I was like, in today's world. I wouldn't even chance it. Don't laugh at me, don't allow the universe to teach you a hard lesson. Shut those people up right away. Like oh geez, yeah... Hold on to his little hand. And let him march on... Getting them up and active, the heart pumping. Exciting sites and sounds.. by the time you make it home. Eat lunch. Because if you're walking with him in a stroller. He's going to fall asleep. That is actually training him to fall asleep in the stroller.. When I had my nanny job. The 18-month-old, if he was getting sleepy-eyed and wanted to pass out. Immediately put him on my hip. And we would Head home. But I wouldn't push him in the stroller. He'd be on my hip... Where I would talk and point things out. The 3-year-old would help me push the stroller. All hands on deck... Keeping him awake so that when I got in. Called him off with a cool rag. Changed him. Gave him some warm milk. He was out like a light.. So please carful using the method of a vehicle or a stroller. Or else you are completely training him.. That's how to sleep. You don't want to go down that road. Sleep time is in bed. Adding in these little dietary things. Light is what triggers melatonin. Changing out your light bulbs to a warm light. Very important. Or have soft warm lighting around your little mini apartment.. candle light and fire light that warm light actually helps trigger the production of melatonin.. it's not the tryptophan that makes you tired. It's the light. People proclaim during the holidays such as Thanksgiving with turkey they get tired because of the tryptophan. Actually, chicken has more tryptophan than Turkey. Around the holidays many individuals have up their holiday lighting and decor, the warm soft glow and they may have a fire. This light helps produce melatonin. It's the light. So in the daytime. Having on your daytime light. Getting your little one out and about in the sun. Helps him start producing melanin as well as D3... The melatonin production happens with warm soft light.. around 6/6:30pm bath time. Is a good time for a nice warm bath with Epsom salts. After that bath. Some nice warm milk. Which also has tryptophan and serotonin effects in our body that help us relax and go to sleep.. same with an avocado. But more bioavailable with an animal nutrient such as bone broth. Chicken bone broth specifically. Milk. Higher fat is good Fat is not bad Fat is for the brain and hormones and neurotransmitters... After you're done. A nice massage with some good relaxing oil.. or lotion. Moving right into relaxing time reading. I always tell people. Nothing that stirs giggles in your little one. If you get your little one giggling and excited they are not going to go to bed.. So call me relaxing. I try to do no TV. Or no screen time before bed. I want warm light. And reading.. sipping on milk that's warm or delicious warm chicken broth. And if he's hungry. Put an egg in it.. Like clockwork. He will start getting used to this schedule. And like I said. No more walking to get him to sleep. Make those little legs walk to get the rest.. especially since your apartment is so tiny. Honestly. I personally if I were you. I would use the bathroom. As a little mini office.. and having soft music playing in the background. Will take out the nuances of sounds and things around that will just keep him in a comfortable lullaby good sleeping state .. especially when living in tight quarters. I tried to remind ladies. Don't forget your little one was in your tummy. Hearing you talk. Hearing you clean or vacuum. Hearing you play music or doing what you love to do. My mother always said to me. If you want to wake a baby quickly and easily. Always be quiet around that baby. And you'll never be able to make a sound. And my goodness was she right. My son's bedroom when he was first born was right outside of my living room.. I carried on just like he was in my tummy. I didn't hush things down. And he napped.. He was on such a good sleeping schedule. My sister-in-law, that already raised a child. Was asking me what I was doing. It's routine. And nutrition. Getting them out and about. I had five and a half acres. And as soon as he could walk. I had him all over the property... Going on adventures. Hahaha Mama just tiring him out.. and my little one had an injury. What a heck of a story.. Do you have a PO box that we can send you stuff? You're on the gram aren't you. I can't say it because a lot of times my comment won't post if I say that. I'll look you up over there. Maybe I'll just say that. Hahahahahahahahaaaaa sorry.
