As a Sporting CP fan, this team was just something completely outstanding in Portuguese football. These guys dominated the whole league for almost 3 years, and I think that only winning an Europa League was few for the quality of this team

Como adepto do Braga, ainda me dói ver aquele golo do Falcao, mas aquela equipa do Porto era absurdamente espetacular. Passearam naquela Liga Europa e fizeram boa figura contra o melhor Barça de sempre na Supertaça. Que grande equipa. Basta ver os nomes dos jogadores que depois vieram a ser estrelas mundiais como Falcao, Hulk, James, Otamendi, Moutinho... Privilégio ter visto essa equipa jogar à bola, o meu pai portista até fica com lágrimas nos olhos só de pensar nesses tempos 😂

Easily! Remember he suffered an awful injury and was out for basically nearly 2 years, but on his return against Braga, near retirement, he put on an amazing performance and left most of Porto supporters in tears thanks to his commitment and hard work 👏

The best team in Portugal by far, hulk and falcão in their prime was a pure joy to watch. Goals were expected, but we just wanted beautiful goals and they always delivered

Nao é a minha preferencia de como deveria ser o futebol porque no final das contas aconteces o que passa hoje, vem uma equipa com ainda mais dinheiro e o Porto nao consegue mais manter um plantel desse nivel

This video almost brought tears to my eyes man… I almost remember how I used to feel back then seeing my club conquering Europe in Europa league and thinking “what if ? We were in champions league instead ?” Feeling Porto as a great European club ! As we still are ! But in history only now.. compared with what it used to be ! No fundo em 2010 esta equipa venceu os títulos todos, que competiu na época, e o mais incrível é que deu muitas goleadas, tanto aos rivais, como na Europa onde deu 5 a todas as equipas desde o grupo até á final... Basicamente a melhor época que eu vi como adepto do FC Porto...

@@brunotricolor Sim, em parte sim, alguns lances eram da época anterior onde disputa-mos a Champions, porém faltavam ali peças para completar a equipa, a equipa era boa, mas faltava algo no meio campo, e o treinador anterior tinha sempre as mesmas ideias, era preciso mudar, ai o Presidente no ano seguinte que fomos disputar a Liga Europa, trás o Vilas Boas como treinador, e João Moutinho para o meio campo, ainda James Rodrigues com 19 anos, e isso transforma completamente a equipa, e no ano seguinte com novas ideias, e uns melhoramentos a nível de plantel acontece essa época incrível onde logo no início se sentia que podia vencer tudo e mais alguma coisa... Lembro que mesmo que a equipa estivesse a perder no início do jogo todos sentiam que era temporário o resultado e a equipa dava a volta até ao final, e acontecia sempre, pois o futebol jogado era muito acima dos adversários e era claro isso a ver o jogo... Muitas saudades falar dessa época... 😅

Porto fan here…this team was indeed insane, i never forgive hulk for choosing money over career, going to zenith when he couldve choosen any of the big 5. Even today after all these years you can still see his power in the Brazilian league…the man still has it, too bad we didnt get to see him more in europe

What if Hulk felt that Porto experience was "the biggest" he ever wanted? And after having that he just wanted to become rich? After all is their job... And it's a "short career job". Just like Otávio did. I prefer to see Otávio just playing for money knowing that Porto was "the big league" for him, as it is for me. Just a different perspective to think about! 💙

​@@ruiferreira321Na altura o campeonato tinha apenas 30 jornadas ou seja apenas 90 pontos possíveis, atualmente são 34 jornadas, depois tens o factor de ter sido a única a vencer o campeonato sem derrotas por duas vezes em 3 anos, mais ninguém na história conseguiu um campeonato sem derrotas, por último e mais fulcral pelo futebol apresentado que não era só dentro do país era lá fora também, só em 2010 quando venceram a Liga Europa deram desde a fase de grupos, que venceram 5 jogos e só empataram 1 único, deram 5 a todas as equipas até chegar a final com o Braga... Nunca se viu uma equipa assim em Portugal, eu arrisco dizer que vencia o FC Porto de José Mourinho, e adoraria ter visto essa equipa a disputar a Champions nesse ano, com o Barça de Guardiola, pois tenho a certeza que uma eliminatória entre essas duas equipas seria a mais épica do Futebol Português a nível de emoções e qualidade de futebol... É só veres o vídeo para perceber o tipo de futebol, e atropelamento que o Porto dava nas equipas dentro e fora do País...

O Jackson só chegou em 2012-2013... ou seja, ele só chegou depois da época do vídeo em questão. Na época 2011-2012 os nossos pontas de lança eram o Kleber e o Janko que não fizeram grande coisa... daí ter dito: se tivéssemos arranjado alguém melhor que esses 2 e o AVB tivesse continuado no Porto (pois saiu para o Chelsea nessa época) poderíamos ter feito muito mais e melhor na Champions

simple... leach off south america as usual... that's what money without regulations do to football. So smaller but richer clubs (City, PSG) can take away players from much bigger but poorer right now clubs (River Plate, Sao Paulo0 and bizarelly people have normalized it to the point where even in Europe big clubs like Ajax, Porto and Benfica simply can't compete with clubs from richer leagues and no one thinks it is the worng scenario

mediocre mentality... coz it has been allowed to be normalizaed that european vision of how things should be... shouldn't a great colombian player be playing for a bog colombian team? Obviously the richer clubs will buy the best players but if FIFA did its job and worked towards world football and not european football then it would preserve some principle like regionality and you know a portuguese club having to have at least half of is squad made of portuguese players... then they would still sign the best players but there would be a limit and players would get spread between their home clubs and other leagues and clubs.

Falcão sempre foi um jogador absurdo...

If this team stayed together for 2 or 3 more years, Porto would've become a serious contender to the UCL title

As a Benfica fan, this FC Porto side was just incredible to watch. One of the best teams of the world in that season and, in my opinion, even better than the team that won the Champions League in 2004.

Porto was one of my favorite teams to play with in fifa from like 09-2012

In 2011 Porto won 4 titles SuperCup League (5-0 vs Benfica in Dragão and were Champions in Benfica stadium 1-2) Europa League (Falcao scored a record of 16 goals) Portuguese Cup (6-2 in the final) Wonderful team 🔵⚪🔥

Still the most i suffered supporting Porto was that this team was split after that dominant season and Europa League win. I wanted us to try and replicate the 02/03 to 03/04 back to bacck European champions Uefa Cup (europa league) then Champions League but almost everyone left for big clubs

I played with these guys the entire time in Fifa, beating the likes of Dortmund (who were back then also crazy good). But those front 3 were beasts. Falcao, James and Hulk in their prime were all world-class. Sad to have seen Hulk go to Russia and China.

I still remember 2012 ucl when porto got a penalty in second half, hulk hit it directly in the middle at Abati , he dives in the wrong direction but the net got torn .
