The battery is actually user replaceable and super easy to do so 👍🏼

Though I also have a Hugo 2 for portable use, I've grown to seriously appreciate my Mojo 2, especially when paired with the Poly. Because the Poly supports Airplay 1 (the lossless one), it's super easy for me to stream losslessly to my Mojo2Poly while controlling everything through my phone, while leaving the Mojo2Poly in my sling. Come to think of it, since the combo is charged at night, it probably hasn't seen the light of day for months lol.

I do want to try the poly out at some point. It seems like a convenient way to enjoy music without being tied to a desk. May want to give the Mojo2 a walk or something lol. 🍻 Warren!

Got my mojo 2, loving it! Audio quality on my iems and headphones is brilliant. And love the build quality and design.

I find the Crossfeed function to work awesome on the Hifiman Headphones that have more left and right width than froward depth. If the headphone has a lot of width, the crossfeed just pushes that width forward to make it sound like a huge soundstage in front of you on some songs. However, the feature can affect the bass response on some songs and make it more bloated or impactful depending on the song of course.

Great review Skeeb! I like how Chord stuff sounds but man it’s 2024, they really need to focus on a redesign. Micro usb is crazy to me lol

Really good portable dac that can pretty much drive anything even E3. Instead adding poly, wish Chord will create a new DAP with USB C. If chord mojo 2 and poly sound that good together, there is not so much volume just adding a screen together.

Great review! I also love this remarkable little (BIG) machine. The E3 will most likely be my next purchase, and great to hear that you experienced the Mojo 2 driving those cans so good. But I would like to know if you experienced the E3 even better, with Mojo 2 as a DAC, on one of your more powerful and stronger amps, the differences etc.? Keep it up, Ryan. Thanks.

I can tell you the MOJO 2 into the Enleum is a definite step up in performance as an amp over the MOJO 2s amp. But we are talking a $3k device. The Enleum just makes all those details heard of the E3 more finite and intricate. Basically like going from a 4k TV to an 8k inresolution. Which is why I'm perfectly happy with the Mojo2 as a unit for the E3.

I love my Mojo2, but I've sent mine in for repairs. Usb inputs are rather wonky. I usually use mine with a toslink and it sounds awesome

have u tried questyle m15? people on headfi commented they sold their mojo 2 after trying the m15, both cuz its easier to use, smaller, and doesnt sound any worse, but even better.

At 1:59 the buttons do have a color the color is gray on my screen. At 2:12 the left side thing, bad way to describe tech unit, we say rear for the input ports and front for the customer facing end where the headphone ports are, the logo’s on top, label on the bottom. Spatially speaking it’s best not to tell someone who can’t see your pointing, up left down right. No I’m just kidding man, I enjoyed the video ordered my Mojo2 and AZ says here by Friday. I’m pairing with Focal Clear. Thanks for the information and let me know if you want to sell some discounted headphones k …. 👨🏽‍🎤

Ha! Enjoy the Mojo2, it really is a great unit!

Why not use the max non-gain (UV left, white right) level for DAC out = ~4,75V?

How do you find it compared to the Woo Tube Mini? I bought the Tube Mini off the back of your review and promptly sold my Mojo 2 as I found the Mini more to my liking when paired with my EQ'd Meze Elites. Just interested to hear your thoughts too? Thanks

So I'm not sure this is a good comparison with the Tube Mini. Since you asked though, I'd say the Tube Mini will drive the harder to drive headphones easier then on the Mojo 2. The Tube Mini does have the tube nature to it and not everyone will love that (although why not ha). The Mojo 2 has DSP EQ, Crossfeed and the ability to output as a DAC only. Also the Mojo 2 will suit a wider array of headphones/IEM's where as the Tube Mini won't. Especially IEM's are going to be tough to use on the Tube Mini. Mojo 2 also wins out in the portable nature as you don't have to sit it on a desk or have it sitting still (tube mini will have noise if you move it around or tap on it). Hope that helps!

Yes, it does pair well. Thankfully the Empy2 is fairly easy to drive and the DSP features on the Mojo2 are an added bonus too.

@@SL0THHHHHH it works very well as a Dac too. It's not overly powerful but the Empy2 doesn't need a lot of power.

So if you were to use with mainly as a desktop dac would you say the dac can compete with the likes of Denafrips or Gustard?

can it drive 300 ohm zmf headphones

With headphones like the Arya organic and MM-500 that don't need much power does using a more powerful amp make much difference with the MOJO 2?

Are you saying using the Mojo2 as a dac only? If so, yes, it can make a difference. I used the Enleum rm23 with the Mojo2 and loved that combo of sound! Full surrounding sound with plenty of staging and impact full dynamics.

Thanks, I got one recently. Sound is great. But when I connect mojo 2 to the charger and I touch the chasiss, I get these vibrations under my fingers, like there is a current leak. Is this normal or I got a falty unit?

@@markaprill6501 ok thanks, so I reccon this does not happen to your unit? To describe it better: you connect it to the charger, then slightly slide your fingers on the case, there will be a slight feeling of electric current under the fingers.

Why would you care for that, if the device doesnt have balanced topology inside then balanced connectors are just snake oil unless you do 10+ meter runs of cable.

so weak that even with my easy to drive focal celestee it sounded thin, like very thin, specially in the bass, 5% of punch/slam, the cross feet muddy's up the sound and the EQ does pretty much the same. This is a very overated and ovepriced gadget that is not worth looking at unless you run EIM's in my opinion, but well let's spend 700 yeah..

Please try to avoid making a soy face in a thumbnail.

Appreciate the feedback, but I try to use 2-3 thumbnails to see how they perform. Soy face will be up for now. It's the video performance I'm most concerned with.
