Just wanted to let you know this mod is my favorite for Slay the Spire. Before some life events left me much less time to play, your character was the first I felt compelled to grind to Ascension 20, has my most playtime of any character modded or otherwise, and was a constant joy to see the new updates. I stopped playing a little bit after Fishing's release but am greatly looking forward to seeing what's new when I'm able to dedicate the time to play again!

You made an incredible mod, it's a ton of fun and the evolution mechanic feels very unique and very cool. I also love that it's a range of Pokemon from all different generations instead of just Gen 1/2 mons, really feels like a a love letter to Pokemon as a whole. My thought/suggestion would be to have one or two Pokeball uses per act, instead of just one period. That would let people play around more with captured enemies, and not feel like you "wasted" your only Pokeball in Act 1.

Suggestion: do a run with infinite pokeballs but all pokemon types disabled, so you have to catch em all to build your deck

Evolving during the fight and going back down afterwards honestly makes me think they should also do a Digimon version. I would try the f out of that one

Slay the Spire has such an awesome modding community! Every dev here seems super nice.

This mod is super awesome and gets your mind racing on what in the world is possible here. It seems you only had 2 types enabled too so there's a BOATLOAD more to explore too. As someone familiar with both Pokemon and its TCG I can also tell a lot of this is very inspired and in theme for the Pokémon. This mod deserves a lot of praise and I am very intruiged to play more of this

It's a little rough around the edges, but I love this mod so much. The way the types mesh together with eachother feels like an advanced version of the packmaster. Even when you start with the same types, your deck's archetype can go in multiple different directions. It's great.

I wound up with a deck with Regileki, which deals 4 damage whenever I draw a card, and Lost City, which makes everything cost 1 less but everything that doesn't evolve **always** exhausts. At the end, I wound up with a crazy deck that just nonstop generates cards to draw more cards and do more damage. Though I would definitely like to see Frost try and make an Unown deck work...

The pirate hat edit with Gangplank Galleon got me good. Good job Andrew

I need more videos of this mod, please and thank you.

Since the starting relic can only be used once it should be called a master ball or at least an ultra ball so it's not seen as average and repeatable

Or upgrade itself each act to have a higher minimum HP to catch.

It seems there is a lot of potential for interesting effects on the base versions of the pokemons that can evolve, as they all basically have an exhaust effect, if you can not stop evolving them when played. But at the same time it is also different than exhaust as you are not losing a card, just upgrading it.

Looks like a really fun mod with a lot of love put into it. For me personally points off for replacing my favorite eveelution with my least favorite, especially using a water stone as the evolution method but whatever. Other than that awesome job mod creator. Thanks for showing off the mod and for the laughs Frost. And thank you too Andrew for all your amazing edits.

Yeah this is more based on the Pokémon card game while you can still capture enemies Edit that Alolan Exucutor is just the same card from the card game this is the best mod ever because of fishing, and just like in the card game you can only play one supporter per turn

This mod looks op at every turn but don't be fooled, this mod can actually be quite hard. Ramping up to your massive hitters can be slow, and there's plenty of ways to hurt yourself in the process.

I’m two weeks late and someone has probably already said this, but infinite pokeballs could make for an interesting run. Take no card rewards and one a certain number of pokeballs allowed per act and that’s how you get cards

Frost really kept screwing up his combos at the end. Like using the crustles block all the timeinstead of the giga strength, and not using the crawfish for strength, and not using the Captain red for strength... O well, this mod is cool.

​@@DungeonMartian​ first of all, i love the work and creation. The most obvious one is the card back colour. Since the context is white and yellow, it is pretty hard to read. Second one is the bait part. I was searching the affect to find out where the bait logic work. Always enjoy fishing in the Pokémon games. Maybe this one is only me. i only need some more learning curve. There is one more thing. The poke ball element is not enough. I feel like playing digimon in some point, because it is a temporary evolution. XD

The card backs are on my list of changes. They were just recolours of the placeholder art when I got started. They correspond to the type of pokemon you have (based on the pokemon tcg). Bait may need some clarification and is something I was worried about initially. There is a boss relic that allows an additional capture, and a rare potion as well. I can see why people would want more captures, so I added an option in the config menu for infinite pokeballs. @@alanhong99

Shouldn't have done those early removals; felt like you didn't have enough Attack Options/Damage. Gotta learn that depending on how the Mod sets the rules, smaller isnt always better. TL: DR: downvoted for bad decisions.
