You would be surprised at how many so-called producers who work with Logic have no idea what stock plugins they have and their potential. There’s this stigma with stock plugins where people think they are always bad. My thought is: if you can’t make great music with stock plugins, the issue is you and your skills, not the DAW or the stock plugins 😉

@@iamdannywyatt exactly, i still think outside plugins are needed but learn the full capabilities of stock ones before upgrading. Find the weakspots of your daw and then get plugins that help with that.

What if you in a studio or somewhere without your stuff and someone says make a melody what you going to say i dont have my secret sauce software to make it lul and its good to have the knowledge on your own so you can make your own melodies. As a producer you should be able to make anything you hear but practice alot heh alot of people don't be on that part of it

The fact that you can use a tool like this doesn’t mean you are completely dependent on it. It’s just that: a tool. The issue with not using tools that create random ideas such as this one is that you tend to only create what you know. It’s rare that you create a happy accident. There’s a video about Cthulhu and Steve Duda who’s classical trained said that exact same thing. When you know chords and scales you tend to go to the same places and you also play at your own pace. Sometimes these tools just create things that you wouldn’t even be able to play as a human. So yeah it’s not that some people “need” this tool. It’s just handy sometimes. Oh, and fun 😉

In addition wouldn't this help if you get a creative block at some point. Sounds like your jailing yourself with this approach, like eating the same meal everyday..... my two cents... good luck buddy

DETERMINOLOGY why are you assuming people don’t want to learn? If it makes the process a little easier, why not? You still have to judge what sounds good and what doesn’t. I still find these tools quite useful and fun to work with
