Hello. I’m a Bahamian🇧🇸 who actually worked at Atlantis for over 5 years, and I just wanted to say that the water park rates are based on the season. Around this time of year, is considered high season, and so the rates would be at its highest. Also because the park accommodates all of Atlantis guests, along with Comfort suites and the cruise ship guest bookings (which can sometimes be up to 7 ships within a day) the rates for walk up are inflated a lot of times as guise to dissuade you from going. This helps the park from being jammed pack. Sorry you weren’t able to enjoy this time around!

We were just in Nassau on the Anthem of the seas. We went to the new Margaritaville Hotel. It was wonderful! $65 (no food or drink included). There is a lazy river, slides, private beach access with chairs and umbrella, glass front infinity pool, hot tub. Best of all it is in walking distance. It was definitely a 10/10 and we can't wait to do it again.

Hi, I'm a Bahamian who works in Atlantis' Waterpark - Great explanation from Beanchor (previous commenter) on the rates. I would also like to add that the waterpark does not shut down for rain. We have a radar that monitors lightning strikes, and depending on the distance of the strike, for your safety certain attractions close until the lightning is out of the area. I'd recommend visiting in Sept - Dec for lower day pass rates. Hope you return! Also, please note our country is 'The Bahamas', not just 'Bahamas'.

We're coming back in late September for the first time in ages, but don't see Atlantis as an excursion option for the day we're there. We're not sure what we're going to do at that port. Great Video. I think we're in a bizarre era where people like to brag about how much money they spend instead of the uniqueness of an activity. When I was in my 20-30s, we (my circle of friends) would brag about the joy of skydiving, surfing, and doing black diamond runs in Colorado. We never talked about the cost. Now people brag about how much they spent in Vale or the cost of dinner in Japan or they will take a picture sitting in the Jungle pretending to do Yoga for FB. IMO the marketers caught on to just how inactive (and overweight) many people are and realized that if they give them something to "achieve," like the high cost of a common activity, and make it appear exotic, they could make a fortune. Look at how people act when they "achieve" status with a cruise line or airline. Some act like they earned the "Medal of Honor" for heroism. Like the lady in your previous video who said Carnival is for poor people. I bet she has status at several places and has 50 credit cards. In her mind, she is an achiever... Just my $.02. Keep up the great work!

We were able to get into Atlantis before pandemic and we didn't have to pay anything we were able to walk into the whole place except for the water slides but we were even able to go to the bars and the pools and even the shark tanks and moving bridge they got back there ... but I know exactly what you're mean... we recently went again and it was closed and they're charging this outrageous amount of money to go into a place that is absolutely not worth it .. you made the right decision

Jay, my best friend and I stayed at the Atlantis when they first first opened. There was only one hotel, not the 3 or 4 wings they have now, no water park, 2 restaurants. Still expensive but nothing like it is today!

Jay, right on. I would never pay that kind of money for a few hours either. We paid $59/person to go to Margaritaville Beach Resort, which you also had a video on. We just walked there from the ship.

Wow, don't blame you brother. That's outrageous!!!! When you go back get a recommendation to hang with a local. They can show you places to go that are reasonably priced and entertaining and cultural. ( I'm from the Bahamas 🇧🇸) Back in the day there was a program called People to People where you could experience the real Nassau/Paradise island with a local, it was really nice and my Grandmother did it for years!!!! No overpriced touristy crap!!!

It's $250 right now because it's easter. It's typically $130, and before the pandemic (2019), I went for $30-$50 because they had a sale. The high price is to deter large crowds (though the waterpark is inclusive with staying at the resort), as we are still in Covid times.

I am Bahamian and from Grand Bahama but I live in Nassau New Providence. First thing…. You have to go to Bahama Mama in Freeport to get a Bahama Mama you can’t go just anywhere. As for the prices in Nassau please don’t think that the prices are this way for tourists we are priced the same just wanted to point that out if there is anyone reading this and was wondering. We are all priced the same under the Bahama sun. Sorry about the rain, you have to come in the summer. Spring and hurricane season look for rain.

Hey J. Totally agree. $250? Family of 4 $1000 and still have to purchase food, drink, souvenirs etc. Wonderful for those that can indulge but can find many more affordable things to do. Thanks for your transparency. Much appreciated. Thanks so much and see you next video.

I've been to Bahamas Atlantis and you're right it's beautiful but extremely expensive. Also the short time you get to spend at a port of call is prohibitive. Ship to shore excursions are very expensive too. If you want an experience and you have limited time expect to pay and pay dearly.

Great video Jay! Had no idea Atlantis was $250 for day visit. Thanks for the warning .... Your food at the street restaurant looked fantastic.! I would get off the ship just to go eat there. Thanks for showing us all the entertainment on the ship. You know how to have a good time! Don't waste your energy responding to negative comments. 99% of your comments will be positive and appreciative of what you do. The negative comments will be buried, or you can delete them. Comfort inn Suites is a great buy. 5 minute walk from the entrance to Atlantis. You get full access to the Atlantis Resort and you can make charges at Atlantis to your room at Comfort Inn Suites. Price is great, usually you can get a room for under $200 a night with all your guests having access to Atlantis. Food is very expensive at Atlantis. .Comfort Inn Suites has a free breakfast buffet with eggs and bacon/sausage along with everything else. Also, there is a strip mall right across the street with a restaurant, and small grocery store. Rooms are a good size with a couch and sitting area in addition to the bed(s) and a half size fridge.

J - DEFINITELY go and stay at the Atlantis! All of their amenities are well worth it. Having said that, I definitely wouldn’t spend $250 for the water park - wouldn’t spend $100. We broke our vacation into 2 parts and stayed at the Baha Mar which is awesome if you want to chill.

The last time I went to Atlantis was in 2014, and we were on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion and I took my whole family (eight of us) for less that $250.00! The drinks and food we purchased exceeded the 250.00 though 😁.

My last cruise was in 2018 on Carnival. We couldn't dock in Turks and Caicos so we went to Nassau instead. I was so hyped to go. My paid dad paid for my husband and I to do an excursion at Atlantis. He knew I always wanted to go there. The excursion was nice. We had access to their aquarium and the beach but what spoiled the experience a bit was the basic ass food we were served that costed $75. Sliders, a bag of Lay's plain ass chips and a pop...for $75. I still get pissed when I think about it.
