"Calm" is the keyword here. I broke multiple PSX/PS2/XBOX360/XBOX ONE/PC controllers in my "prime years" of gaming, just to avoid full rage mode 😕 It's very satisfying when a controller finally "gives up" and break into pieces........ at THAT moment but 10 seconds later you realise you also stripped your bankaccount for about 60USD/EUR because you need a new controller...... 😶 Multiply the above with at least x6 in my case.......😕

I think the idea behind the checkpoints with a tight timer is you can either do it the easy way where you risk/take a death or you can self challenge and try to do it in one shot with the timer as your limiting factor.

That little jump at 7:55 is actually a Pixel Perfect jump. LilKirbs said it when he got the world record on Pit of Panga. You were very lucky and skillful to get it on the first try.

Tbh, as someone who is a way below average Mario player, I like speed run levels with checkpoints because I can still play the level all the way through and try to beat the timer but the checkpoints allow me to learn each section

Reason for a tight timer in a level with a checkpoint is to make the music fast and add a level of stress.

If you ground pound a piranha creeper, they retreat around 2x further than they normally would if you regular jump on them.. So if your bouncing on a piranha creeper & he suddenly requires one of those pixel jumps to hit him on the side, try hitting him with ground pound before that moment & he'll be in a different spot
